Master of the Turbulent Timeways II

The Turbulent Timeways II Begins Jan 7th 2025

Providing it hasn't changed from last Turbulent Timeways, if you have an alt you never play and (like me) don't want to have to do 4 timewalking dungeons each week, just do the 4 dungeons on that alt for the first week then each subsequent week you only need to do 1 dungeon to refresh the buff duration to get credit for the achievement for that week.

Obviously at the time of writing this we don't know whether it has been changed but this is how it has functioned historically.

15/01/2025 Edit: I can confirm this works exactly as before. I did 4 timewalking dungeons on my level 71 warlock last week and got the buff so I was at 1/5 weeks done. I then logged off and didn't log back on that alt for the entire week. Now this week, I logged back onto that alt and still had 3 hours left on the buff, then I did a singular timewalking dungeon and I now have 2/5 on the achievement.

Master of the Turbulent Timeways II starts on the 8th Jan 05:00hrs to 26th Feb 05:00hrs in 2025. (EU Servers). This is a 7 week duration therefore miss 3 weeks and you will not be able to acquire the [item=232624] mount unless you use additional WoW accounts.

Most Time Efficient Method!

1. Use an alt, why? Because once you have gained Mastery of Timeways you can log off that alt and return next week and do just 1 TW dungeon to get progress for the achievement. Buff timers pause when you log off and even after the weekly reset. Using your main character your more likely to let the Mastery of Timeways buff disappear after 3 hours of gameplay and have to do 4 TW dungeons again instead one 1 TW dungeon. So using your main will be 4 x TW dungeons each week or an alt will be 4 x TW dungeons the first week and 1 TW dungeon each week after provided you don't let the Mastery of Timeways buff expire.
2. Complete a TW Dungeon and you will get buff Knowledge of Timeways with a 2 hour duration completing another TW dungeon refreshes the buff duration and increases the stacks.
3. Complete a total of 4 x TW Dungeons and the (4) Knowledge of Timeways stacks will turn into Mastery of Timeways with a 3 hour duration buff. Completing an additional Timewalking Dungeons refreshes this 3 hour duration it does not extend it.
4. Park your alt and return after the weekly reset (Every Wednesday 06:00hrs). If the Mastery of Timeways buff is still active just complete one TW dungeon if it has expired complete 4 x TW dungeons again.
5. Do this for 5 weeks out of the possible 7 weeks and you have your achievement and mount. Monitor the Master of the Turbulent Timeways II achievement to see the progress 1/5, 2/5 etc.

I did try the 5 alt method running 5 alts together under the one WoW account and it did not work for me as all 5 alts need to get the Mastery of Timeways buff at the same time. I was 1/5 progress before attempting this method and was still 1/5 when 4 alts got Mastery of Timeways buff at the same time. On the 2nd week I had 5 alts with Mastery of Timeways buff active from the previous week, completed a TW dungeon and I got the Master of the Turbulent Timeways II achievement and the progress was showing 6/5 which is one over the required amount and I got my [item=232624] mount.

I did see a comment that the Knowledge of Timeways and Mastery of Timeways buffs are removed when you die, this is NOT TRUE, I died in TW dungeons and outside of dungeons and neither of the buffs disappeared on various alts.

TL;DR:
Using MAIN it will most likely take 20 TW dungeon runs, 5 weeks of 4 TW dungeons.
Using ALT it will most likely take 8 TW dungeon runs, week 1 do 4 TW dungeons and every week after do 1 TW dungeon.

This achievement is account-wide so you don't have to use the same character every week.
