Although you can't view this achievement in your log until you've earned the Resource Glut achievement, you can earn both in the same game. So if you don't have Resource Glut and your team accomplishes Mine, you will get both achievements from that win.
I just received mine today
You do NOT have to kill the general, in fact you'd be hard pressed, as if you take the fortress as your own the Alliance will rez outside the fort and have a MUCH easier time recaping
Just have a few people guard each of the points then just kill them until their reinforcements hits 0 or you kill their general
I was also told that you have to control all the points, so even if one point is "under attack" you will not get the achievement
