As of patch 5.1 the trick of standing in middle when the BG ends doesn't work anymore. So it's gonna have to be 90 seconds of actual battleground time for you to get the achievement.

The counter keeps ticking after the BG has ended. Get in the middle at the end of the match, and when the scoreboard comes up, just wait with the orb of power until the achievement pops.
Worked for me and a few others!
Does NOT need to be 90 seconds continuous in the center. On my most recent ToK, I stood in the middle for like 50-60 seconds with an orb, died, and then grabbed another orb for like 30-40 seconds when I got the achievement.
