Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings - Guild Edition

Random FYI for anyone who is doing this still.... I had to logout and back into the game in order to register the guild achievement.

In the achievement tab it states Requires Guild Reputation: Honored
I believe this to mean that for the Legendary you own to count you will need to get honored with your guild.

This will be to stop people just swapping around to get the achievement for other guilds but should they actually swap and stay in a guild it will eventually count towards their new home.

The forming of Val'anyr is very simple, compared to the other legendaries with quest lines attached. In order to collect the 30 fragments of Val'anyr required you simply must run 25 man ulduar. I got an average of 3-4 fragments a week, with a lowest of 2 and a highest of 6 in the one run. The chances of fragments dropping are increased when doing hard mode versions of bosses: Flame Leviathan with the four towers up, XT Heartbreaker, Mimiron Firefighter (push the red button.. No don't push the red button!) Freya with the three elders up, Thorim while Sif is still alive, Hodir speed kill, Yogg-Saron with no keepers. After collecting the 30 fragments, right click to use them, turning them into Shattered Fragments of Val'anyr. This item begins the two part quest chain which rewards val'anyr. After creating the Shattered Fragments of Val'anyr, you must take them to the Archivum Console located near (south of) the Iron Council's room. The Archivum System will than begin a small event, telling you that the only way to create (or rebind, as it says) the weapon is to use the acid inside of Yogg-Saron. You will than be given a quest to throw the Unbound Fragments of Val'anyr (provided) into Yogg-Saron, while he is casting Deafening Roar. He uses this ability during the third phase, after your group has sufficiently damaged his brain and the Shadowy Barrier has been removed. If you miss the roar, the Unbound Fragments of Val'anyr will remain in your bags. You do not consume them in the attempt. They are usable multiple times, with a twenty second cooldown. Once you have successfully thrown the fragments in, and defeated Yogg-Saron, loot the boss. He will have Reforged Hammer of Ancient Kings in the loot. You will be the only person able to loot this, as it is a quest item. Once looted, return to the Archivum Console, hand in the quest and enjoy the roleplay. After the roleplay ends, congratulations on your mace. This mace takes around 8-10 weeks of full clears to complete.
