Everyone: When the boss starts to cast magma wave, stand behind the spikes that spawned from previous abilities and you will not take any damage. Stay out of the gigantic fiery circle on the ground, and move for the spike waves.
Healers: No spike damage for the most part, most mechanics will oneshot your dps if they decide to ignore them so gg.
Tanks Tank this boss in the middle of the room to increase the likelihood of your group being able to reach spikes. As @warhowl mentions below, you will want to face him away from spikes so they will not be destroyed and be sure to use your active mitigation on his second knockback or you will be flung across the room.
DPS You mainly only have to stay out of bad in this fight. Stay out of spike waves and any circles on the ground.

Edited for more information. Thank you Warhowl, I should have included that!
