Blanchard's Stout

This mace is incredibally good for the 40-49 PvP tier. About the only weapon I'd take over this is Kang, and the 20str on this brings up the DPS of this even more. This is also nice and slow, great for Pallies timing judgements and it has very sexy crits.

Not to dispute the awesomeness of this weapon, especially for Enhancement Shamans and Windfury, but if you're looking for a hard-hitting weapon for a Paladin's Seal of Command, I would recommend this weapon instead: Blade of the Titans: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=13043 There are a few advantages in this weapon to be considered: 1: It requires level 44 as opposed to Blanchard's 45, allowing you to equip it sooner. 2: It has an extra 14 Stamina than Blanchard's Stout does, providing more health, making it universally more useful. The 5 Fire Resistance from Blanchard's Stout is decent, but personally, I'd much rather take an extra 140 HP. 3: Despite the fact that it has a lower level of Strength, it hits just as hard (in fact, it hits slightly harder) than Blanchard's Stout does. This assumes however that you are a Warrior or Paladin, and thus one point of Strength equates to two points of Attack Power. Math to justify the above statement, formulas taken from Thottbot: Average Damage = DPS * Attack Speed 1 Strength = 2 Attack Power 14 Attack Power = 1 DPS Formula to find how hard a weapon hits for: f(str,dps,speed) = (((str*2)/14) dps)*speed Blanchard's Stout f(20,43.4,3.1) = (((20*2)/14) 43.4)*3.1 = ((40/14) 43.4)*3.1 = (2.857 43.4)*3.1 = 46.257*3.1 = 143.3967 Blade of the Titans f(10,42.6,3.3) = (((10*2)/14) 42.6)*3.3 = ((20/14) 42.6)*3.3 = (1.428 42.6)*3.3 = 44.028*3.3 = 145.2924 Alternatively, you should keep in mind that Blanchard's Stout has higher total DPS than Blade of the Titans does. In the end, it really comes down to an issue of whether you want slightly higher Damage Per Second or slightly higher Damage Per Hit.

Probably worst then Blade of the Titan and Kang but i think its the best for feral druid since there is no sword or axe skill on us so 'll try to find this baby.

Just found this in Western Plaguelands after about 10 minutes of grinding.

Found this little Hand Of Ragnaros looking hammer in Felwood while grinding as lvl 60 frost mage :)

for shammys, this is amazing. it's slower than 3, so your normal hits all have a chance to WF (unless your on flurry) and it also has incredible stats. use SS w/ this and youll be amazed. my shammy gets about 6-800 WF single crits, plus the other WF, normal hit & SS means the thing i'm attacking is gonna die very fast

You'd might consider taking this weapon as a feral druid too. It has a nice stam boost and 20 str which is 40 AP for us... It's probably one of the better weapons for feral druids in 40-49 gear.

40-49 gear? This is one of the best feral weapons entirely until you start seeing things with +Feral Attack Power on them.

For kittie pvp in 40-49 bracket, +35 agility or savagery?? i cant deciede which is better pls help!

you will probably want the 35 agility. not only will it provide you with attack power, but also crit, armor and dodge.

And while Savagery provides a flat value of AP, 35 agi both gives AP and crit, which scales with lvl. So at level 45, 35 agi gives a lot of crit.

This is an excellent weapon for any feral druid planning on staying in the 40-49 BG bracket for a while. 40 AP and 150 hp is nothing to sneeze at. When you take into account that actual weapon damage means nothing to druids, but stats mean everything, you begin to realize that this mace can very easily last you to outland provided nothing significantly better just falls in your lap. I was lucky enough to get this from the guild bank, and so now any AH trip I make looking for upgrades never has to include a search on the "weapons" tab, and won't for some time to come.

Has anyone else looted this item off of an [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=8958]Angerclaw Mauler[/url] in Felwood? That mob doesn't seem to be on the list.

Yo i got this weapon at lvl 47 and have found no btr for a dps pally so far, it has been very... very handy coz of the huge dps it has, i am lv 51 and have been lvling only in instances and have found no wep that can match its awesome damage, the only wep that came close to matching was the also aweosme Nightblade

That is very good weapon for PvP, By that weapon i have on 46 lvl i have [i][u]1200[/u] Honor Kills[/i]. That is the best PvP weapon for lvl 40-49. 70% of weapons on lvl 40-49 no give stats. For that lvl's only two weapons are good: Blade of Titans (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=13043) and Blanchard's Stout. I have that Weapons and better is Blanchard's Stout.

What do you think is better for a feral tank this or the [li][/li]http://www.wowhead.com/?item=943 warden staff now that druids don't get armor from staves

I personally believe that this is by far better than Warden Staff, since armor on weapons is no longer multiplied by bear form or talents, its not worth the raw stats lost over Blanchard's, and the defense rating is worthless, since if you're feral you should have Survival of the Fittest (which makes you uncrittable anyway).

Back in Classic WoW, an enhancement shaman friend of mine had this weapon with the fiery enchant. We all called it the "Mini Hand of Rag". Great weapon for the level, at the time. He never did get a Hand of Rag, sadly.

Just got one to drop off of a Angerclaw Grizzly, located in Felwood. You can imagine how surprised I was, cause the thing's drop rate is not even .1, just 0. This is going on the AH :)
