Don't buy this gun if you're twinking. It's much better to just have your friend/guildie run the STV quest chain with you starting at level 28. Get the armor and bow/gun from that quest. You'll save quite a bit of money.

While that would make sense... except this is for 29 twinks, and the quest your mentioning, Big Game Hunter (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=208) requires level 33. So good idea, poor results.

Nope, trust me, you can do them ALL at 28, i have, as have many others.

Actually, you can do the quest referred to in STV at 28. I have done it a couple times now in the past few days. If you are twinking 29, do it at a fresh 28, this chain will just about lvl you to 29.

I got it from a chest in Alterac Mountains. Put it in AH for 25g, sold right away, could've asked for 50g as some guildies said.

Looks like this is going for about 13.5g on the AH on the Aerie Peak realm. Dropped by a Crag Coyote in the Badlands.

as of some newer patch, the quest line in STV is no longer 28, i think its sround 30 or something

Now that they changed the amount of experience required leveling and the amount that you get, it is almost impossible to get this bow/gun without leveling to 30. Maybe if you start it right when you hit 28, and do all of the quests with a level 70 friend and you never pull aggro on any of the mobs. I personally started it right after hitting 28, and I did the first round of quests alone, getting like 200-400 XP per kill (this was probably the main screw up on my part). Regarding the gun, i had it loot in Scarlet Monastery library in the chest which is in the antechamber to the left after the courtyard and the beast master. It is good that doing the old instances can still be rather profitable. AH buyout 20-50g.

2nd best twink gun for the level 20-29 BG bracket. The best is the gun/bow from the STV questline. Also this gun can have a +5 Scope added to it, just have to get a player level 30 or higher to attach it for you. For those that can not get the STV gun or bow, dont worry this gun will work extreamly well if the player is geared up accordingly.

You could put a +7 dmg scope on it since it's BoE.

Just got this while running a guildie through Scarlet, we were in the Cathedral and it was found in the unlocked chest before the final boss. I'm level 63 she is 39. Just thought I'd let ya know.

The lockbox isn't the only place you can get it, I was grinding SM graveyard and in the room of the first boss this was in the chest in the opposite corner.

I got this off a random coyote in the badlands and gave it to a guildey.

i brought this gun for 8g off a guy in /2 and i could pwn most lvl 29 twink rogues and i wasn't twink but i must say having a scope on it makes a bigger difference then you would expect

Why does people keep telling us "it dropped from a turtle" and such. It's a random drop from level 28-35ish mobs. This isn't thottbot.

Because people aren't used to reptiles packing heat and are frightened by the possibility of dinosaurs with howitzers

Wow... for a "random" drop it sure is odd how on Boulderfist server one guy has 7 of them up on AH and he's asking 297g each! No stats? This thing better out dps my mom before I pay that for a no stat gun. Oh... not to mention it's a gun... I hate gun noise.

If you're farming, it is best to hunt down chest spawns in the higher zones for a random blue item (if green, the zone is too low revel originally) Other than that, kill everything between point a and to b and have fun.
