Goldenmane's Reins

Dropped Randomly in Stormsong valley while questing, in the area of Port Fogtide. Bind on use, tradeable.

I looted in from a pack of mobs containing: [npc=130094], [npc=129981], and [npc=134631]. The description of this mount in the mount collection talks of Lord Stormsong, and Port Fogtide is heavily influenced by Stormsong's Followers, and so this area of the map may be linked to the mount (or it may be a zonewide drop, who knows).

On 6/8/18 (BETA) this mount was only ridable on Horde Characters, though it dropped for and was learned by an Alliance character.

I can confirm the last part. I couldnt even see it in the mount tab on the alliance char it dropped for but no problem mounting it on horde char.

Dropped from an Irontide Coin Hauler in an underground cave, near Deadwash, was on my way to do a Beachhead WQ, and just went a did a bi of mining on the way. Good looking mount from the mount tab.

Mine dropped from the Tidesage Seacaller. Didn't even know about it, just needed him out the way to grab a honeycomb.

It dropped for me from a Brinebrawn Cannoneer in The Brineworks

I REALLY hope this mount will become available for alliance ... I love Palominos and I do not understand if its only for horde player. The other world drop mounts are for both factions. Please Blizzard, I was so happy when I spotted this :(

Poor horse, it has to carry taurens and some buffed af orcs on its back.

Horses are strong. We had cranes carrying Taurens around for years. Have you seen their slim legs and tiny feet? Time to give them a break.

*Tauren. Plural and singular is the same.

Wrong. A horse shouldn't carry more than 20% of their own weight, so a tauren would gradually injure any horse's back. An orc however, depending on the size and weight of the horse, might be able to pull it off!

But those aren't real horses we're riding. We're using bridles (or remote controls, etc) enchanted with the *essence* of the mounts we ride. Their essences are magically infused and strengthened with, yes, more magic. So it's 100% legit to have a highmountain tauren or a draenei paladin riding around on a mount's back with no damage.

Droped on live servers on alliance char in Stormsong Valley 1,5 hours after BfA hit

I also can verify it can be used by Alliance I bought one off the AH and am riding it now.

Dropped for me last night (8/13/2018) from a random trash mob in Addington Shipyards (Brennadam). I'm Alliance, server Haomarush.

Quick question- does anyone know if you have to be 120 to loot this or can 111 and up get it on a drop?

no you dont. i found it within an hour after i started to play in new addon. i believe it dropped from an ordinary mob, but most likely it was close to the rare mob pointed here. i believe i was the first who's got it on Burning Legion server.

Here's a question; Can this be farmed while in a raid? I ask this because of the farm parties for these mounts on LFG seeming to only consist of 5 people.

dont think so. my group got two of the Hyena mounts last night after we changed it back to party after we realized it was on raid mode.

The mount is also dropped by sister Ava on the boat close to mariners strand. I've managed to get it 1st try so I don't know the exact drop chance

Looks like those mounts drop from a certain species, instead of being zone-wide, so instead of being a "surprise" loot when doing quests / WQ from random mob, it's now a grind on "X" mob, another bad move from Blizzard

There are different mobs on different zones...I'm sure you dropped your dune Scavenger off one of those Sethraks.

Just dropped for me in Stormsong Valley, I was doing an azerite gathering quest.

Me too, I was in a cave doing a world quest and it dropped off a trash mob.

Rarity seems to think Goldenmane will [i]also[/i] drop at the Monastery in Boralus, as it's Stormsong territory.

Just had it drop while doing the side-quest to get the toy from the monastery - so yes, can confirm it will drop there.

It appears the mobs listed at the monastery (Tidesage Archivist, Stormsong Loyalist) appear to my Alliance players who have not done the war campaign besides opening up other zones. To those characters they are plentiful and fast-spawning. Rarity does not show the Stormsong Loyalists as dropping it. It did drop there though.

It's fairly reliable, more so as time goes on in an xpac and more data is accumulated. Don't be surprised if it drops from more than are here or at different %s

I just got Goldenmane! I highly recommend farming in The Brineworks which is an area on the far Northeast end of the Mariner's Strand island. Myself and the group I was with tried farming in several areas of Stormsong and this was the best spot for us due to the quick respawn of humanoid mobs. Gesika, rather than complain about it, how about you suggesting one yourself? When people were making this comment, it was current at the time, so they are not one-shotting the mobs like you are now in TWW. Just saying.
