Looking at the description of this and for major spellpower I see a difference. Major spell power says for melee weapon it gives up to a +40 dmg. This one says "a weapon" and doesn't specify melee. Does that mean that this enchant could be placed on a wand and for up to +30 and you can place the greater spellpower one on a melee weapon? Sorry if it's a noob question, but hey, I'm a noob.

No. Your contributing to the same people who nerfed Kara and gave palis to horde and shamans to alliance, and so are the other people who thumbsed up your comment. Old things should stay old. It would be like a groom wearing a white suit and a bride wearing a black dress.... And besides....this content is easily soloable now.

this is a very nice money maker if you are lucky enough to get it. people always seem to be asking for +30 Spell Power. seeing that the Blizz Devs said that 10-15 lvl 70s will be able to clear MC, more might get it after a few months of TBC being out.

The mats for this spell are no easy task to gather: 4 large brilliant shards 12 Greater Eternal Essences 4 Essences of Fire 4 Essences of Water 4 Essences of Air 2 Golden Pearls My recommendation (if you choose to farm these items) is to get 8 essences of air and 4 essences of earth from the elementals in Silithus (Northwest corner). Once you have these, have an alchemist transmute 4 airs to fire and the 4 earths to water. I personally farm golden pearls from the naga in STV since they're easy to mass kill and the drop-rate for the pearls are extremely rare anywhere you go. You're on your own with the enchanting mats. 12 greater eternals is gonna put a hurting on your wallet. Although aquiring these mats may seem expensive or take a while to get, make sure to tip your enchanter well. :) The plans for this enchant only drop in Molten Core and are a pretty rare drop.

Due to recent changes in essence drop rates in patch 2.1, it is significantly easier to acquire the essences needed to use this enchant. The +40 spell damage enchant is still better to get after 60, however it is not ridiculously hard to get +30 damage at a much lower level now.

If your fishing is high enough (about 275, I think), you can fish it from the pools in Azshara. I got 5 after about 45 minutes, and most of that was swimming (take some swim speed potions, if you aren't a druid.)

Yes elemental essence drop rate is been serverely increased (going for about 1g each), but what about Greater Eternal Essences? These are still going for 15 gold each on my realm, WTF! Something needs to be seriously done about this.

It adds 30 spell damage to all spells under a 3 second cast-time. And for all the twink warlocks that need to know, yes it does add damage to dots, it has a special formula but it adds up to 30 damage while your dots going and finishing. Hope this helps =)

This enchant is now very difficult to find, as far as enchanters who actually have it in their spellbooks. This enchant was not added to a Burning Crusade rep vendor like many of the other old world raid instance enchanting drops. Molten Core remains the only place to get this recipe. Also, if you're having trouble finding someone with this enchant in their spellbook, try posting on your realm's forums or asking your realm's top raiding guild members if they know of someone with it. Edit: Removed comments about price, as it's going to vary by server anyway.

i really don't like that everyday you meet people want you to do it for them for free, or like 5g tip. and when you refuse they are like "are you stupid you click a mouse button and get 5g why do you refuse" well, everything in this game is just clicking mouse.

Knoxpwns+1via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

At the same time, this is no reason for enchanters to be incredibly rude to people who do pay well for enchanters to do things. We have a person on my realm, one of the few who has this enchant, and completely refuses to enchant it for anyone, if you want it from her, you have to wait for her to take the time to farm it, put it on a scroll, and pay her 500g. Things like this is absolutely absurd.

147680+1via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

Ye the redundant tips makes enchanters less willing to enchant, i think they deserve at least 5 g if you do all work except the enchant and 20 g if he/she is doing the running etc. If there is something rare or more of the unusuall enchant and ofc if I'm happy i might even pay a mighty tip of 50 g

This is the only spellpower enchant you can put on an heirloom weapon that will be effective for the entire life of the weapon from level 1 to level 80. The BC and Wrath versions will not become active until levels 35 and 60 respectively.

I agree with the poster two above this. I have this as well as several rare enchants from AQ20/40. I never bark out my enchants. People have no appreciation of the cost to level enchanting (8,000g) and the countless hours and luck it takes to farm these. My server has a very high population and enchanting the old way just makes me angry. Occasionally someone who knows how rare these are will tip 40g, but more often people have you come to UC then tip 2g, or NOTHING? How many times does that happen before one loses all interest? The net result is that a skilled enchanter is seldom going to resp

Incorrect. Heirloom items cannot be enchanted with anything requiring level X. Heirloom items are always considered level 1, even though they scale with your current level, thus no BC or Wrath enchants will be usable on them. Making this Enchant the best possible Spell Damage enchant for a heirloom item.

Kaylin-1via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

This is a pretty popular enchant for low levels and heirloom items though I prefer +22 intellect. I feel the enchants don't really matter as much as we level and at low levels the crit, mana, and lack of greatly diminished effects for spell levels under 20 with intellect makes it a more attractive enchant for me. It's a bit more expensive on my server though.

I am able to solo molten core with very little trouble on my paladin, but on my warrior, who is my enchanter, I have to respec to do so, and some bosses I am unable to do. Now that this pattern is BoE would it be possible for me to down the bosses on my paladin, get the drop, and send it to my warrior? or will it only show up if I am an enchanter?

At the time of that post I was ret with mostly naxx/level 200 PvP gear. Just use seal of light, judge of light, sacred shield, and fire resist aura. Use your AoW procs on FoL first, then on exorcism if you have enough health to last til your next one. The only boss that really gave me trouble was the very first one who puts the minus75% heal curse on you, I never figured him out, and never tried majordomo or rag, but I have heard they are soloable as well. I'm prot with a few pieces of t9 and 232/245 badge/ICC Heroics gear for my offspec now, and I'm sure I could handle just about anything i

i jus enchanted my Dignified Headmaster's Charge, and i dont see it glowing at all. i think that screenshot your referring too is pre wotlk where some of the now lower lvl enchants had glow effects.
