Formula: Illusion: Primal Air

It looks like these formulas will drop from elemental "invasions" that will be starting at a later date. I haven't been able to find a planned date, but there are achievements related to said invasions already. Rumor is that the invasions will be going live with the raid.

Elemental Invasion are up as of today, December 14th. No drop yet for me. But at least there are crafting oders.

There was crafting order since launch of Dragonflight more or less.

Must be as rare as elemental lariat recipe I have 3353 elemental overflow which translates to probably 1k kills. Also havent gotten elemental lariat

Received today from killing one of the invasion rare elites on a non-enchanting character.

So, you didnt have enchant profession on that toon at all? Thats good to know

After having this dropped from [url=https://www.wowhead.com/npc=193647/karantun]Karantun[/url] , (3 drops in 40 man raid and traded to me) and seeing the fire one dropped by [url=https://www.wowhead.com/npc=193648/infernum]Infernum[/url] ,(3 drops aswell) and all the comments in the Primal Fire Illusion post, i think it is safe to assume that these only drop from the dragon rares of each element. The other two being [url=https://www.wowhead.com/npc=193645/crystalus]Crystalus[/url] and [url=https://www.wowhead.com/npc=193644/bouldron]Bouldron[/url] . I have yet to see any formulas drop from other rares although ive killed almost all of them since storms were launched. "Happy" Hunting.

after reading this - i discovered it is tradeable between characters who participated in kill.. after several days of hunting - around 30 rares - and reading this - i asked when someone dropped it and got it.. and then another :D - thanks a lot

Is it possible to kill them multiple times a day and get loot? If not, can I still be traded the formula if I participated in the kill?

I received my Formula: Illusion: Primal Air from Voraazka in Nokhudon Hold. Not a proto drake. Kind of a dragon though.

One rare spawn at the very start of an event popping, and then seem to be randomly every 30-50 minutes or so after that. This is the type of Storm event needed for each of the rares to spawn:

Elemental Air (Thunderstorm) After a hotfix they all drop [item=200911] [npc=193684] [npc=193674] [npc=193653] [npc=193647]

Elemental Earth (Sandstorm) After a hotfix they all drop [item=200912] [npc=193652] [npc=193680] [npc=193644] [npc=193654]

Elemental Fire (Firestorm) After a hotfix they all drop [item=200913] [npc=193686] [npc=193675] [npc=193650] [npc=193648]

Elemental Water (Snowstorm) After a hotfix they all drop [item=200914] [npc=193655] [npc=193682] [npc=193679] [npc=193645]

from where do you get this info that they all drops it now? I scroll through the hotfixes and cant see any mention of it

This is total nonsense, killed three of them today for zero drops. He just made this crap up. It is possible he meant that it will drop for one of those who participated in the kill but I doubt that as well. I did not see it drop for anyone in my group.

Just got mine from Gaelzion.

Got it today from Gaelzion as well, character was not an enchanter.

Will try to submit a SS of the enchant/illusion but it obviously won't show the detail that it does in game. In game the animation gives like a little whirlwind in the center of the wind. These illusions are pretty animated compared to others in game.

This just ([i]finally[/i]) dropped, from the Dreamsurge-Empowered version of Pipspark Thundersnap (on a non-Enchanting toon).

I was unsure if the Empowered version would drop it, because it appears that the DF Rare Rotation mobs that break their schedule to appear in Dreamsurges do [i]not[/i] drop their normal loot.
