Date Simulation Modulator

This toy will place a machine in front of you that you can interact with to change the sky's appearance/weather effect. The options are as follows [ul] [li][b]Peaceful Day[/b]: Turns the sky blue[/li] [li][b]Romantic Sunset[/b]: Turns the sky pink/orange[/li] [li][b]Fireflies at Midnight[/b]: It turns into night with fireflies flying around in the area[/li] [li][b]Stuck in a Rainstorm[/b]: It starts to rain and turns the sky cloudy/overcast[/li] [li][b]Kick the machine[/b]: Cancels all effects and turns the sky back to normal[/li] [/ul]

This toy makes me hope they will update the skyboxes of old zones, Stormwind looks so pretty with Romantic Sunset sky. I wish there was dynamic sunset/sunrise skies.

Oh man what; I'm so glad I looked up exactly what this did, this is something I've been waiting for them to add forever. I'm such a huge sucker for weather/time effects like this. Great addition! Here's hoping they add more cool weather things like this in without the use of a toy or item like inky black potion as well.

These sky boxes are great but the concept is not new, the [item=198206] from engineering does the elemental storm skyboxes and has been in since DF launch.

This toy is binds on used, which means you can buy it from the AH if you willing to save up tokens

Fireflies at Midnight is really awesome.. the stars look so good!

Fun fact: if you have both the [item=198206] and [item=210975] unlocked, then you can access the Date Simulation Modulator's skybox settings from your Environmental Emulator when it is active. Nice to see that the Engineering item wasn't [i]entirely[/i] forgotten.

I don't have either one of them. I wonder are they having the same effect?

This thing is such a disappointment. What's the point of being able to have a 100% up time if it's locked to one spot?

i noticed it despanws if you fly to far away from it. I spawned it at Rocktusk Farm (Love is in the air area outside Org) and i flew to Org to do a quest and when i came back it had gone :(

Does it change the weather's appearance just for me or for everyone else as well?

According to Google AI, "The Date Simulation Modulator in World of Warcraft changes the weather for everyone in your party or raid that is within a 45-meter radius."

From the tooltip: "A cloaking device attached to this machine ensures that only members of your party or raid can see the machine and its effects."

PSA: If your Date Simulator suddenly gives you the cold shoulder and doesnt show you any options, check if you’ve got the [item=109599 domain=www] buff active on you. Turns out it blocks all communication, even with your virtual date! I spent a while wondering why the toy wasent working properly until i removed the buff out of curiosity lol.

Unfortunately doesn't work in player housing neighborhoods!
