Adamantite Cleaver

One of the better hunter weapon and easily be bought in AH for <25 gold. Highly recommended for hunter <70 ! Add +70 AP w/ Savagery Enhancement and you got a whopping 25+52+75 = 152 AP on this 'lowly' green axe. Only the sonic spears (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=27903) and warsong howlers (very minor difference http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24394) have better stats, for at least non-raiding hunters.

It's much better than a howling axe, seeing as hunters get 1 AP from 1 Agi, so after you add in that AP, you're trading 3 AP for +2 Stam and +25 agi, very much worth the cost imo. Of course the Sonic Spear outranks them both obviously.

This is a nice weapon. Good for leveling blacksmithing skill and sells at a decent price, even to vendors.

Disenchanting them is much better if you want to make gold on it.

Pretty expensive to make these... 20 adamantite bars goes for like 45 gold... and you need 8 to make one of these..

One thing to say about this weapon: <3 (I am a hunter BTW) Got the mats for about 20g and the recipie for 4g. Wich is 24g TO ALL HUNTERS: ITS IS WORTH IT ALL THE WAY !

Just bought one at the AH for only 14g. The stats for this axe are awesome for a hunter considering the ease of making this. If you are a BS you should be making these all day long for easy and turning a fast profit. Originally I was looking at having the Skyforged Great Axe (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30088) crafted but it requires 2 more adamantite bars and 6 primal airs which are very expensive to buy and difficult to farm (at sub-70 you have to farm 60 motes and have them combined into primals). The weapon level of this axe is actually 5 points higher than the Skyforged Great Axe and to me the Adamantite Cleaver is more balanced with the addition of the stamina. All in all a great axe to have at lvl 65 and this will for sure take me to 70 where I can start upgrading to something like the Sonic Spear.

The axe you linked is also BoP and can only be used by axesmiths, which I doubt you are since you mentioned "having it crafted."

Good for MS warriors, no? Great stats, can't argue that. Plus, it's slow enough that MS and OP can crit hard. Nice top end too.

Cost me about 2.5g per each [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=23446]Adamantite Bar[/url] on AH and tipped the BS who made this 3g, so the whole deal cost me 23g with tip. After running [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?zone=3713]BF[/url] 6 times and [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24394)]Warsong Howling Axe[/url] never dropping (has a 15%-20% drop rate), this was a great and cheap alternative that I'll use for at least the next few levels. Looks cool, too.

If you find yourself with more adamantite than you know what to do with, it's also possible to make this to disenchant, depending on your server economy. On my server, Adamantite goes for about 2g per bar. This commonly disenchants to 2 Greater Planar Essence (sometimes 1), which sells for 15-20g each, so for 16g worth of adamantite you can get up to 40g worth of essence.

Something worth noting: At least as of 3.03, enchant glows "breathe" on this weapon. The enchant grows out as if you had just equipped it, and once it hits the normal size it suddenly recedes back into the weapon and starts to grow out again.

I've seen @ least 4 of these cleavers with Druid Enchantments on them, is that a glitch?

It probably is. If by enchant you mean the extra (xxxx feral attack power) text that is now implemented on 1/2 hander-maces/daggers/polearms/staves I've never seen it in game, but a lot of wowhead users have made similar comments regarding higher level axes. Most likely a glitch.

Just made 2 for my warrior (which I plan on using for 70 EotS BG'ing when I'm bored) and put [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=44630]Enchant 2h Weapon: Greater Savagery[/url] on them (only because the scrolls were cheaper than the mats for normal savagery on AH). These will work great until I finish the grind to grab 70 PvP gear. Easily crafted with only 8 Adamantite Bars each and high stam/AP, which isn't as good as str for warriors/paladins, but it's still good (especially with Greater Savagery xD). I posted a screenshot of my undead warrior dual wielding them, both have [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=44630]Enchant 2h Weapon: Greater Savagery[/url] on them.

this is a rather nice green axe. If its min level was like 1 lower it would be blue.

I have this on my 66 dk and i think it will last me until 70, ican crit 1400 with it on OBliterate. Reccomendation to dk's- HIGH

As of 4.3 all axes with this model now use a singular colour scheme which is not the one pictured here, it sucks.
