Design: Stormy Star of Elune

When learning this, know that the Stormy Star of Elune is placed in the Trade Goods tab in the Jewelcrafting window, instead of the Gems tab. Possibly a bug, and you will go crazy looking for it :)

don't know how to add drop reports, found one on a clefthoof bull after the one that was reported here is shown, so at the time of this post, it's dropped twice off of one

wow weird, clefthoof bull in nagrand for me too lol. thats really weird.. i still think its a random world drop though, just a huge coincidence

Well i just purchased this pattern for 180g not bad i think imo see how many i sell

This pattern is not in demand at all. No one purchases them and non of my guildies want it crafted. Any caster will want spell damage or crit.

Spell pen is a good gem if you are a Warlock or Priest fighting a person with lots of Shadow resist gear. Certainly a niche, but there is someone out there that wants it.

Definitely a niche, but it's unlikely many people would want it. While +dmg or +crit, or indeed pure stats are helpful for any caster in any fight, spell penetration is useless if they don't have that school's resistance. I can't personally think of any fights where I've thought "damn, I wish I'd stacked up a load of penetration gear". Undoubtedly you'll probably get somebody wanting it, but it'll be so rare I wouldn't go out my way to get this pattern.

I got this recipe off a Nethermine Ravager while doing a daily

Just had this pattern drop off Sunwell trash on 3-19-2018.

Still drops. Just got it from trash in Sunwell Plateau
