A friend of mine spent 25g on the of Healing version today.

Flawless Wand of Spirit is the highest +Spirit wand available right now, and should be on the shopping list for all mages. Combine it with a "Spirit Stick" (high-Spirit staff with the +20 Spirit enchant) and you've just made your mid-battle Evocation a lot more effective.

After patch the spirit version of this wand will be less useful, though for raw spell damage the arcane, firey or frozen wrath wands are still better than most blue wands.

Right now (as of 2.3) the int version of this is perfect for mages during evocation. Using this along with Voodoo Hex-Staff of Intellect (with 30 int enchant) or a combination of Draenei Crystal Rod of Intellect and one of these - Warpdagger of Intellect, Iron Skull Sword of Intellect, Phantom Dagger of Intellect - could give you up to an extra 936 mana from evocation (depending on how much int you have on your weapon/wand initially). The combined int from all of these is 104 That's 1560 extra mana to boost your total Evocation will give you 60% of that, so that's 936 Due to the fact that decreasing total mana does not reduce the amount of mana you have (unless reduced total is less than what you have), you will keep all of that 936 mana when you switch out.

The "of Shadow Wrath" version is an extremely good warlock wand, and is better for pure affliction locks than most wands until High Astromancer Solarian in Tempest Keep. Grab this if you find it!

I would say grab the badge wand though, as a aff. lock I used a shadow wrath version of these but especially if you plan on going past Kara you still need some stats

"of Shadow Wrath" along with the other versions that grant elemental damage will be nerfed in the 2.4 patch. The WotLK page shows all versions of the staff replaced with 'of Spell Power' variants.

Plain light blue rod with a sparkly bauble at the end. Very nice if you favour the understated look with your mogged set.
