granted it is slower than most epics, however, it does do more damage than any rare bow i can use at this lvl, at least that i ahve come across

How does this sell, IN ANY WAY for 2g? At such a low drop rate, this thing would sell for WAAAY more. I've seen this in AHs for 600g! That's 300x more. Wowhead, you need to get your prices right. EDIT: Negative me all you want, you know I'm right...

I love how you fail to realize that 2g is the vendor price, and then go on to arrogantly boast that "you know I'm right".

I got this from an ogre in the badlands, and it almost gave me a heart attack.

And I picked it up off of some chap in Feralas. Was an annoying little Woodpaw reaver, which is mentioned in the "Dropped By" as having a 3 out of 50205 drop chance...I was just passing through their camp and he stunned me off my mount. Decided to kill him and was immediatly like "H'omg" when I picked it up. Freakin' sick. haha

This is a great low level epic bow, but it is not worth the gold in the AH.

wrong this bow is worth 100g easily u can find most for 150g...anything less than 100 is a steal...and for a random boe epic that you'll find killing mobs while your leveling totally worth it

Just went for 400g on Anvilmar - Horde Server today.

If you're going to be a 39 pvp whore, this bow is the best thing since jesus. Fit it with an Adamantite Scope (on your main) before you equip it and you're laughing.

The highest lvl scope that goes on this is a sniper scope (+7) Im an engineer and tried it...Needless to say it didnt work because the item lvl is too low. So don't waste your time/money on it.

these is a good bow for 37 lvl but it is a little slow . it doesnt worth the 100+ g in ah.

get the bg bow it has a littles less damage and dps but it is free and at lvl 42 u can get the gun from uldanman

i agree its not worth to buy in AH but its worth grinding for

your wrong it can be ground for ( it takes time ).

I have to say, anyone who doesn't realize the apparent beauty of this bow is just wrong. This bow has the highest attack damage of any bow up until Verdant Keeper's Aim (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=17753) which means for a marksman spec hunter, this bow is amazing. Because marksman skills rely on weapon damage, your shots will do incredible amounts of damage. The criticals that can be achieved with this bow if used properly are simply staggering. I was able to outdamage lvl49 hunters and dps shammys in ZF when I was lvl44 simply because of this bow. If you are a beastmaster spec, however, this bow is a definite pass for you since you don't rely on your attack skills for damage. Beastmasters, look into the Hurricane (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=2824) as the ridiculous attack speed will let u proc IAoTH and with a standard 16-slot quiver, this can allow u to achieve a .75 second attack speed or faster. Since bm's just need to pluck away, this is awesome ^^. I definitely recommend this bow but try to shop around as the AH price is quite ridiculous. If you have the gold to burn, however, GET THIS BOW. Get a +7 scope on this puppy and you won't need a replacement for a while. The searing arrows are pretty sweet too ^^

Hurricane is terrible for anybody, especially BM hunters. This bow is just as good for BM hunters as it is for MM.

If you are going to say a piece of equipment is bad please say why it is bad, making statements based on little to no facts is ignorant and provides no help at all In other words... say "why" it is bad for bm hunters and "why" it is just for BM hunters as it is for MM

A lvl 40 Jungle Stalker dropped this for me!? And what is the drop % of it? That got me shocked badly.

kallasatpone, ofc you shall NOT buy this bow.. sucks for rogues. if ya are a pvper you should go for a bow with stamina/agility on it, and if ur pveer you should go for agility maybe strenght. This is a hunter bow. and "something under 700" is a sick price, its worth like 100-120, not more. Rogues never uses bows, later on you use trow weps like crazy but. and if ya want it for some nice dmg when chickens try to escape from you, get a faster bow then.

this bow is going on my 39 hunter twink, im just gonna have to do a lot of farming... anyway something useful rambob pretty much summed it up but if your lucky on Kil'jaeden i've seen both bows for under 70g so keep an eye on the auction house and your pockets deep. As beast master when i had hurricane i believe i reached a speed of .5 with rapid fire, quick shots, and ribley's quiver.

I got this bow from an ordinary low-level mob. You could imagine my and my fellow adventurers surprise.

This is an awesome bow for the level requirement however the price is rather outragoues (I got mine free from a guild bank but they paid 80g). However this bow will last you for quite some time, and you shouldnt really have to worry about another weapon till lvl 50

Excellent Bow for marksmanship hunters, its not that great for anything else because of its speed, however in marks the damage is amazing and if your agility is around 200 or so once your 40-43 (based on a 0/33/0 build) your auto-shot will do about 150-200 dmg (non crit) and your aimed will do about 350-400 dmg per hit (non crit) and criticals for auto are between 300-400 and for aimed 600-800. (This is average for a 40-45 marks hunter w/ 200-230 agility)

Picking ur twink range weapon get dicey... Dwarf go gun get the http://www.wowhead.com/?item=9422 it'll benefit u more since you have + gun skill... any other class this is best weapon for your 39 twink... and yes it can have +7dmg scope put on it ....ONLY I REPEAT ONLY if you havent equipped it...give it to a friend you trust or a different character of yours above level 40...u can then add the scope without making it soulbound and then send it back to ur twink... i have done this and know many others on my serve who have.

Unless they fixed that in a patch recently it didn;t work for me. I have a lvl 70 main who I bought the bow and made a scope. I tried all the high lvl scopes and NONE of them worked. I know that a lvl 39 can't put a scope higher than he is.

Its a nice bow i got it on 39 lvl and i still got it on 50 lvl i payed 90 gold for it and its worth every silver

Most people (including myself) will agree that this is an excellent bow, however if you are the run-of-the-mill player this is not worth the 80-120 gold. It is cheaper just to buy a green bow every 4 levels or so or use quest rewards until you find a green that replaces them. This bow is usually replaced at level 50 or so by green items (namely weapons that add +AP).

Although this bow is epic and one of the top 4 bows for the 39 bracket, it is semi-situational. If you are speccing Marksman, I recommend that you [b]do not[/b] use this bow. You would be better off using the [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=9422]Shadowforge Bushmaster[/url], or [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=13138]The Silencer[/url] then using this bow. The reason is because its proc breaks Scatter Shot around 80% of the time and can get quite frustrating.

Although the proc is nice and adds extra damage, your DPS [i]and[/i] damage would actually be consistently higher with the [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=9422]Shadowforge Bushmaster[/url] with your [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=10512]Engineer crafted Mithril Bullets[/url].

Regardless, the bow still dishes out some serious damage and would be great for twinks speccing down the Beast Master tree or down the Survivalist tree.

I had heard that with the 2.4 patch this bow and similar procs no longer have any chance of breaking scattershot but does anyone know for sure?!?

LOL guys this is soo sad but soo true: i was going to get this bow for 41g buyout on th AH in the doomhammer server BUT i was short with 3 copper. i cryed...REALLY!!! but then some fuck mole bough out and no there was no way for me to get the money my back was cleared and so was my inventory i asked a lvl 70 and he ignored me....its an awsome weapon and if you find it under 100g take it fast. there was another time where some noob put a 12g bid price and not buyout and i bid 110g but my arch nemisis on the server (paladin cant use ranged weapon) bid 200g....i reported him and he got banned..along with my bow....

Phr057, i can see where you are coming from, because what you say is probably true, however if you factor in the weapon speed of this bow it is not that great for Beast Master and Survival Spec. Marksmanship spec is not based on dps but rather high dmg and the slow speed but hard hit on this bow makes it somewhat ideal for marksman hunters

May I point out that a 2.8 weapon speed is perfect for BM. I may note: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34892 An item more or less constructed for BM hunters.

Yea, I just got a drop yesterday. I put it in the AH for a buyout of 210 but haven't managed to sell it yet. Mine dropped off of a Bloodsail Warlock.

I would say this bow would be better for a Warrior. It's too slow for Auto-shot. It's more of a bow to pull stuff with and just for looks/fancy schmancy stuff. I just got one today off a bear in Feralas next to where I was tryin to tame Snarler (finally found him- for any hunters who know my misery for the last few days). Thottbot shows AH price as 230g ... and since epics and twink items are particularly high on this server [Akama, PvP] I'm thinking i'll try 300 buyout. On the other hand, I have a Warrior that i've been thinking about twinking... so may just keep it.

what people need to understand in twink regards... what about everyone has said is semi right... marksman.. get this weapon for 39 twink ... ur in a bg ur gonna run out mana and die eventually unless ur one of those weird int hunters...anyway ull get ur mana back...go back down field burst some dmg and die again... now if ur pro ull sit and relax and drink while next wave approaches and be ready to do it again... im 37 and hit mid to hi 500 easy and i dont have my twink pants on or my revelosh shoulders or boots at 39...and a ring and my cape... only reason i see to go gun is if ur dwarf which is a no question asked go gun cuz u got the +skill... go bow if ur orc or troll whichever it is... and rest can choose their own but IMO ur going to burst dps in bg's ur not raiding for a long fight... this is fine and so are those guns to each his own end of story ... and ive tried it with a different twink and noticed the scope +7 cant be added so lucky i did mine before that got patched also regarding bullets...with the bonus dmg that guns gets for higher projectile only way someone with a gun is gonna out dmg u is from being a dwarf...everyone else will be right at same dmg as u when u figure out the math..its like 1 or 2 points in either direction

This is the best 39 twink hunter weapon for a Troll. The racial +1% crit for bows puts ahead of the otherwise very comparable blue guns. Unless of course the scattershot ruining proc is a deal-breaker.

If you are going to twink with this beauty, make sure you farm loads of http://www.wowhead.com/?item=9399 precision arrow from the dwarven minibosses in Uldaman. You will also get a Swiftness Potion on each run, which are also pretty good.

Sadly, they arent killable for alliance - no "special arrows" for us.
