Has a very strong black glow, similar to the lobotomizer. Very easy to get starter dagger for level 70. There are a ton of 71dps daggers, it shouldn't have too high of a buyout on the AH. Dual weilding them makes a nice mutilate combo.

http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32659#comments Crystal-Infused Shiv. A little harder to come by, due to the whole shard grinding element, but I prefer this one. Same speed, damage range and DPS as Ced's, but it also has better stats imho. Here's how they play out: Ced: 0.72 crit 30 AP 130 health Crystal: 0.27 crit 51 AP 120 health 0.55 dodge 22 AC What it boils down to is whether or not you're willing to sacrifice half a % of crit and 10 health for half a % of dodge, 21 more AP and some armor. I know I am.

Ced's Carver is a great dagger to get once you hit 70. It has decent stats and solid dps to get the job done. imo, this dagger would be great for mutilate or combat daggers considering its relatively high damage. Even though it has a low drop rate, you can find these on the AH all the time for about 150-200g (server price will vary of course). No doubt about it, this is a great lvl 70 starter dagger.

Got two of them within an hour of each other farming the Mechanar. Kept one for myself and sold the other for 150g. Great upgrade and a nice weapon if your guild is just starting out in Kara. For anyone else wanting to sell it, I suggest waiting till Blizzard nerfs Mechanar farming and these will be worth a lot more. I regret not doing that now.

This dagger is one of the best (outside of raiding) daggers availabe. Not only is it a half decent weapon, with good DPS, and hitting reasonably hard, it is unbeleivable easy to aquire. You will find these in AH most of the time, and only costing on average, 150-200g (expect to pay this), i managed to get a bargain, obtaining two of these weapons for a mere 120g. Bargain. If you are looking for a weapon to start with when you hit 70, or looking to upgrade, quickly and cheaply, this is the perfect chioce for you.

Yeah I ended up buying these a month ago for around 50g each on Warsong. Very cheap, but great daggers. The higher damage and slower speed also makes for good ambush's and backstabs. The only decent upgrade worth the trouble if you aren't already in any heroic dungeons is just get a good Arena team together and go for the Glad daggers. By the way, anyone know who "Ced" is? Apparently this is his dagger, but a quick search yields no results on wowheads.

naaa man... maybe its an easy dagger to get... but its pushing the too fast side of things and realistically at lvl 70 u will want/need a dagger to be 71 dps MINIMUM!!! my sever... these babyies can get to like 20g!!!! yes 20G!!!! so its easy enough to do a few dailies and get 2 ceds daggers and go muti....

This item can be had from anything between 20 and 200 gold and your telling me to go hunt for an item that has a 11% drop rate on a PUG killing boss. My alt is never going to pug Murmur let alone do guild runs(its an alt). So yeah it might be a bit better but this item is MUCH easier to get

@ Flority It is nice to have a 1,9 speed weapon as mutilate. But Ced's C. has critical strike rating and more attack power. Crit being the key to the mutilate build I'd say Ced's C. is the better choice. Or ofc the dagger from arcatraz, as it has the same stats :)

Over the course of doing dailies, dungeons, etc, I've managed to have two of these drop. I've been saving them for my lower level hunter alt, who I'm considering spec'ing Beast Master. I'm wondering if dual-wielding these is a good idea at 70. Any suggestions?

For a BM hunter, get the Crystalforged War Axe from AH and pop a +35 agility on it. That's gonna stay with you until you get Legacy. They are both ugly as sin, but serve their purpose and do it well.

I'm 66, and on my server this is going for around 35 to 40g. Should I go ahead and buy one now while the price is good, or wait for something else? I have a very good OH for now (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31193). I'm currently a Subtlety spec, but that will probably change after the Cheat Death nerf.

Thanks for the help!

This weapons black glow will override enchant colours. Also, it seems that this weapon have a smaller glow when previewing it from your bag and a more compact glow when equipped, transmogified and/or previewed at the Auction House. This looks pretty good dual-wielded by a rogue because of the black glow is more "Stealth'ish". Bought it for 100 gold on my realms Auction House as an Alliance at Tarren Mill (EU).
