New in patch 2.4.3 these will be crafted by Tailor's from the pattern sold by Haughty Modiste in Steamwheedle Port, Tanaris.

Part of the "Haliscan" set: [ul] [li]Haliscan Brimmed Hat[/li] [li]Haliscan Jacket[/li] [li]Haliscan Pantaloons[/li] [/ul]

The Haliscan "set" seems to be a reference to the 1986 comedy western "Three Amigos." The main characters, Lucky Day, Dusty Bottoms and Ned Nederlander (Steve Martin, Chevy Chase and Martin Short, respectively) were western movie stars who wore mariachi costumes similar to the Haliscan gear.

Used to be the item of choice for low level twinks. I see no reasoning why Blizz would ruin this. And think of all of the people that paid good money for this and now they have NOTHING but a 'flavor' outfit to show for it. The enchant on mine is still there, but shows up red, so obviously not working. Next, they'll be changing our 85 gear to lesser stats or not allowing previous enchants to work. This is so WRONG!

AFAIK, there are four robes that DO NOT bind on pickup/equip, have NO level requirement, and are item level 35+. -Simple Black Dress crafted by Tailoring, roughly 2-5G in mats. -Royal Dangui sold by vendors in UC, SWC, and Moonglade, ~29G. -Green Wedding Hanbok limited supply sold by Geenia Sunshadow, somewhat rare, ~14G. -[url=http://www.wowhead.

Blackened Defias Armor with Enchant Chest - Major Health would easily surpass this chest piece with any BC enchant for DPS or HP builds for 19 twinks.

Likewise Tree Bark Jacket with Enchant Chest - Greater Stats or Enchant Chest - Major Mana would seem to offer more to a twink than any of the BC enchants alone could deliver (+150 hp, 6 mp/5, +6 all stats etc).

However the fact that it has no level requirement lends itself well to a BC enchant like +6 all stats or 150 hp for leveling up, as BC enchants would surpass any white or low level green piece of gear with pre-BC enchants. Also, because it does not bind it can be used by all your low level toons to make that first 20 level grind much easier.

tl;dr lowbie leveling yes, 19 twinking no

It should be noted that the hat of this set is a quest reward from Don Carlos for the Caverns of Time: Durnholde Keep instance. There is also a blue version of the hat that allows you to summon a ghost coyote when worn.

Enchant Chest - Resilience on this thing (It's level 35+) and your level 10 twink has 15% resilience. (Now that 15 defense won't give 30% combined avoidance and -10% to be crit in the patch).

droodhaxzomg+4via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

Resilience is not as desirable as stamina for most twinks, but the novelty of having a low-level toon with more resilience than many 70's is funny. What is noteworthy is the fact that you can enchant this with, say, 6mp5 to chest, give it to your mage so you don't have to drink for a few levels, and then toss it to your warlock or priest or paladin or hunter or... Well, the fact that it doesn't bind on equip makes it wonderful for leveling multiple classes, since it is additional armor at a low level and allows access to some broken enchant. Arguably the best enchant would be 150 health sin

I'm the tauren in the last pic, and my name is guitarist! anyways jokes aside you can get the dress shoes from the same vendor that gives you the haliscan jacket and pantaloons. They just don't do anything for us Cow people :p

While there is no Guitars you can wield, you can dual-wield these babies! http://www.wowhead.com/item=6323 Looks like a couple Red Maraccas. The green ones look okay too. Look on the same model as to find different colors. I think the red ones look the best though.

The Dress Shoes (Made by http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37915) seem like a good option for boots to match. They do nothing for my Draenei either though. I don't think gloves are really necessary for the ensemble. :) Too bad my banker can't get the hat!

Submitted a pic of my bank alt at his finest, with the Haliscan Jacket and pants, the Battered Jungle Hat, the Pimp Cane and some lovely Dress Shoes. In case the pic isn't approved I've added a link: http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q403/D1RE_IDO/WoWScrnShot_041910_213117.jpg

Data mined from the 4.1 PTR show the item level on this jacket will be reduced to 1, which would be too low for the BC enchants (Resilience, +150 Health, +6 Stats, Mana Prime) to be applied to it. The armor is also reduced from 90 to 13. If these changes make it to live, this jacket will no longer be the chestpiece of choice for level 1-10 twinks. Other items similarly affected are the Formal Dangui and Royal Dangui. The only white chest items remaining that will take BC enchants are the Green Wedding Hanbok and the Simple Black Dress. It's really quite a shame. This is a good looking outfit, it was nice to see some pizzaz in Warsong Gulch. :-(

JoKyR+1via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

Well, they did indeed nerf the armor. However, instead of reducing the level, they added a player level 25 requirement to any enchants that need item level 35+. So, yes, this and the Dangui are now rather worthless for twinks. So are the hanbok and the dress. And, I too am mourning the loss of style.

Posting a warning here to save others time. If you're trying to get this for transmog, forget it. I farmed the mats, found a tailor with the patterns, and rushed to the transmog master only to be told the " items appearance cannot be used " on both the jacket and the pants. Actually built my whole toon around the idea of a brujo caster with this set in mind only to be shot down in flames at level 20.
