Hardened Obsidium Shield

For those, who start their carreer as a warrior or paladin tank in Cataclysm, rejoice, this shield almost good as the heroic [url=http://cata.wowhead.com/item=50729]Icecrown Glacial Wall[/url], the best shield in WotLK, as shown below:

Almost as good for a prot warrior, falling less than 3 points behind the ICC25 heroic shield for them, but this one weighs in 15 points ahead for a prot pally. The [url=http://www.wowhead.com/item=55778]first Cataclysm dungeon drop shield[/url] ranks higher than the ICC25 heroic shield for both prot warriors and prot paladins.

Don't rely on the wowhed item weights, they are crude at best. The difference of over a thousand armor makes this green shield a clear winner over the Icecrown Glacial Wall.

Is anyone else wearing this shield under your arm instead of on your back? When it is put away I wear the shield on my hip where the offhand weapon goes, I think they have the item stow location mixed up.

I'm not going to complain about it. I think it looks much better like that compared to on my back <3 Might just be on female Blood Elves, but shields look silly on the back, since they hover a few inches behind us. Slung at the hip, this looks much better.

Well, on female dwarf it looks like she's holding it on one edge and other is in the armpit. Ugly.

Yeah it looks like crap. It's not even under the arm -- it goes through the arm. I hope this is an oversight that will be fixed...

I [b][i]love[/i][/b] the [i]gunslinger look[/i]. For the smaller shields like this one, wearing it on the hip looks a [b][i]lot[/i][/b] better than wearing a tiny, little, almost embarrassing shield on the back. I think they should do this for all small shields.

It seems that all crafted BS items that *should* go on the back, are equipping on the sides. Take [url=http://www.wowhead.com/item=55052#.]Obsidium Executioner[/url], and [url=http://www.wowhead.com/item=55042]Stormforged Shield[/url] for example.

That is similar to what the male Draenei. It doesn't cut his arm off but much of it is buried within his chest and arm. Kind of make me wonder what a Tauren looks with it on, but I have yet to find run across a Horde member wearing it yet.

Definitely hope it's just a glitch and will be fixed soon. Shield on the side/hip just doesn't work. My main is a human female warrior and looks incredibly stupid with most of my shoulder and upper arm through the shield.

For any transmogrifyers, this shield goes great with the purple Judgement recolor set.
