Only current 1h str wep for dps classes. No word on where it drops or drop rates yet but easily assumed that itl drop off trash in the firelands raid. Seems to be much like Soul Blade. BoE so you'll get one if you raid a lot but casual raiders will either have to get really lucky or shell out on the AH :\

[item=59521] 2.0? might be used for tanking?....................of course ti can, tanks doesn´t need threath stats by now, so definitely a viable tanking weapon due to hit ( never hurts having little hit or exp on tank gear ) and mastery ( great stat for shield tanks ) , I´d be rolling need for this if my raid didn´t have either a SMF warrior or a DW frost dk, or if they already had the weapon, I repeat only needing with those conditions.

Most important tho, does it sheat on your back?

It hangs on your side. I have one, and waiting for another to pop up on the AH to get the 2nd. Dual Lava Spines looked so much cooler.

This is supposedly the Best in Slot weapon for SMF Fury Warriors in this tier, because it can be upgraded to the heroic version.It is not particularly well optimized for SMF, because Mastery is our worst stat right now. However, there are no better drops for SMF warriors in this tier. Having the BiS weapons as upgradeable BoEs is really nice in my book. There is no need to pay DKP/GP, and you enchant it once and you are done till you get into heroic modes. According to theorycrafters, Titan's Grip will out-perform SMF in heroic gear, especially with the 4-piece bonus and dual heroic [item=70723]. However, by the time people get dual heroic sulfuras, the tier will be essentially over. So, for most of us who don't expect to get into heroics any time soon, this weapon is a very solid investment.

Warrior rolling on this over a frost dk would be an A$$hat

I ran my own Firelands boe/rep farm, and during the first run, i got two of these (one after another, it was luck at its best) for my Frost DK. This weapon is crazy for frost dk's and considered BiS (only for frost duel wield), and it is also quite good for tanks as well. As said in previous posts, you either have to be lucky enough to get this weapon by winning a roll, or you will be forking out quite a large amount of gold to buy one (at the time of writing they are currently selling for 50,000+ gold on Barthilas AH) :S Happy Hunting.

Has the drop rate on these firelands trash items been reduced? When the firelands patch was released there was no end of these in the AHs, now there's hardly any and though I keep doing the firelands trash runs, I'm lucky if I see 1 item in 3 runs. Wowhead says there's a 6% drop from some mobs, but my mobile WOW app says it's less than 1% from any mob!

When seeing unusual numbers on droprates, you gotta look at number of times that mob has been looted. In the case of the 6% drop rate Hell Hound, he has been looted 53 times by people that upload on wowhead (as these are only the hounds before Bethilac, not the ones in the rest of Firelands which have been looted ~13000 times and have 2% chance to drop). With such a small number of loots, you can't really calculate the drop rate properly... Also as with every trash droprate, mobs are lootable by everyone when they have an epic drop but only by 1 person when they don't. That means that while y
