After reading these comments, i realise what luck i had. Bought it at lvl 81, for 250 gold. Since then, my dps increased through the roof and pwning in pvp wasnt so hard after all.
If you can get this at lvl 80, get it. It´s a dream. It´s probably the best weapon i ever had in lvl 80-85
I just made a compare with this baby, Gurthalak, Voice of the Deeps and Ataraxis, Cudgel of the Warmaster. Both of them are Dragonsoul heroic items and remember, Dragonsoul is endcontent of Cataclysm and these weapons were best in slot.

[item=87521]I have roughly 34k AP when i have selfbuffs and of course proccs. And no, this wasnt the final part. Trough the mop items, i have like 45% hit and i reforged all hit into crit, mastery etc. Hitting lvl 90 boss dummies or lvl 90 mobs isnt a problem. Additionally the extreme DPS given out of them swords are reaching far beyond 100k dps. And yea, as Qtena wrote, going lvl 80 heroic instances is very, VERY easy, because you own a boss(400-600k hp) in 3-5 Seconds, average elites are simply onehit.
And no, i won't tell you how friggin much dps you have if you're in ICC(30% buff eh?) with all them raid buffs ... Just find out ;)

Did a quick bit of number crunching from the data available today...
83 drops from 2557124 kills from those running the client = 0.003245834% drop chance, but im sure there were millions of other mobs killed that haven't dropped the sword "yet" in the 3 zones and instances that this can drop from so the % drop chance is probably alot lower than shown, so can only speculate on this, perhaps as low as 0.001% ?
But what I can tell for certain is....
... over 25% of these are disenchanted ...Doh! :)
Bought this for my lvl 80 dk today, 600g! Dps has gone from 4k to 20k.... Was bored of levelling until I got this! Well worth it just to make the game interesting again!
Recently twinked my 80 warrior dual wielding these plus some other 409ilvl gear and all the 308s you can get, I can easily pull 50k+ dps also great for leveling 80-86/87 until you can get something better. They sell for about 7k on my server. I recommend them for anyone thinking about twinking at 80 or leveling quickly.
I was fortunate to find one of these in the Greymane auction house for 150 gp after waiting almost 3 weeks for one to appear. Enchanted it with Dancing Steel and sent my level 80 Arms warrior on his merry way. While I can't say I hit the DPS of some of the Fury warriors, I waltzed through pretty much all of the Cataclysm content with hits of 50,000+ happening with disgusting frequency. I didn't replace it until level 86 (with Lerah's Ribsmasher), and it faired fairly well in the early MoP dungeons.
Bottom line, Arms and Fury warriors want this (as well as DK's), regardless of what their adventuring plans are. Most of my time was spent questing, doing dailies and hitting the occasional dungeon.
You're insanely lucky. I can't imagine anybody foolish or ignorant enough (no insult here, just the truth) to sell this weapon for a mere 250g. The fact that it only requires lvl 80 and has a 409 ilvl makes it ridiculously OP for anybody wanting to do exactly what you did. It sells for 3000+ gold on my server. Grats on the great deal you got.
Awesome 2H sword. Currently using it on my 82 DK. One word. Unstoppable. It doesn't really get any better than this at level 80-84. If you have a chance in obtaining this sword, do it! Everything seems so much easier.

Just a side note, Swarming Cleaver of Ka'roz level requirement is 86. Not a big difference in your way to level cap, but a big difference if you plan to twink at 85.
When I received this out questing I noticed my addon seemed to think the value of it was high. I only came here to give a word to others, do not disenchant this item. Do not vendor this item. Even if you are the sort of person who vendors your blues and greens or your cloth, the vendor value of this item is extremely undervalued based on the comments here as to how useful and long-serving this weapon is.
I really hope a good chunk of them were people who had leveled through them, and had no more other use *shudder*

Comparing this weapon to any of the Gurthalaks is fool hardy. The proc on Gurth is what made it such good weapon. Used LFR version until I got the heroic 1h axe from DW and from Morchok. Don't buy this weapon thinking it is better than your gurth if you have an 85 alt who has ran lfr once or twice before.

No way I would have used this weapon over my Heroic Gurthalaks on my fury warrior. While it's an awesome weapon for anybody under level 85, IMO it doesn't come anywhere near any of the DS weapons from 403 Gurth and up. I only disagree with Leepi in that I would argue that this is definitely better than the LFR Gurth, and any of the normal mode DS weapons beside Gurthalak. That being said, it's not so much better that I'd spend a few thousand gold on it.
Please don't compare Vanilla twinking with this...
Dropped off one of the turtle mobs this morning for me near the grassy cline in valley of the four winds. I am amazed that it is a lvl 80 sword which does more dmg, and has more str than my 397 gurth.
I'm not sure whether this was a mistake or an incredible gift from Blizzard, but what I am sure is this: If you get this, enjoy lv80 twinking, your damage goes through the roof and you feel like a god. Enjoy ripping through WotLK heroics like fish in a blender. :D
This weapon hands-down is the best Two-Handed weapon for a level 84 twink

so as you can see, it is the best weapon until you are lvl 86 assuming your current guild will run you at lvl 85 these days on heroic.As for the drop-rate, this is a epic drop meaning it drops almost 1/1000000 chance mixed with the chance of getting a different 409 piece instead of this sword, to top it off, there is no drop table because it drops from every mob in the Jade Forest at that current drop rate.
Remember, at level 80, the level cap of Lich King, this is better than any of the item in that expansion
Now, let's take a look at all the epic gears in Cata. it's still better than almost all of the epics in Cata!
So, at level "80", this is easily the best in slot item until level 85.
it would sell for a lot in AH but, if you're a level 80 twink, you should collect all the ilvl 409 items that you can use, see Link.
The top DPS of my 80 warlock with only one 409 piece when I started to run Wotlk heroics goes up to 10k (avg 8k), which is better than my 85 mage when he started to run MoP normals.
Imagine this in PvP, talk about doing the ganking, with only one person.

Pre Cata that thing used to be the Holy Grail of twinkers. This weapon has one purpose, and that's to bury it in the head of the opposing faction on an experience locked 80.
I got this as a random drop that I almost vendored. No one wants to buy this on the ah so far though. It's a great sword and it's making me think of making a panda warrior just to use it if no one buys it this time :} I almost wish I was still leveling my dk.

YES, this actually seems to have a level restriction of 80, although it is very likely that this will change. Only time will tell..
