Well isn't normal an anthropomorphic concept? On the principle you're right it's an "unusual book" but if you're Wednesday Addams it would be more odd an unusual to read a Hello Kitty book than the Necronomicon wouldn't you agree? And by that principle I shall not accept that an odd book for a warlock is actually a warlock book.

Why can't I do a relevant comment on the way people think without being flamed down or taken for a line thief? Although the hate toward it only proves my point. Which is that many people are simply unable to think out of the box to such a level that they no longer can differentiate in from out and take my reply like it is some kind of philosophical gibberish when I only took a simple example to state my point. Now if the problem is the complex word at the start of the sentence or if you don't know who is Wednesday Addams, well… How do I put it? Google it maybe?

Ndoki+39via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

Hohen, just to clarify I think the reason you're being flamed is because you're reiterating the same point of the original comment, just in a longer-winded fashion. By restating what the original point was about you aren't really thinking outside the box.

Is it known how to get it? I mean its start of warlock epic questline and all, but i cant find it anywhere HOW to get it? its going to be world drop, raid drop, raid boss drop or bought for insane amount of gold from NPC vendor or from black market?

This item when combined with a [item=5512] becomes [item=92441], which begins a challenging solo questline for Warlocks leading you to Outland and eventually into the Black Temple on the trails of the Council of the Black Harvest introduced in the [object=212212].

Once completed, you will be rewarded with the spell: [spell=101508] which as mentioned, turns your fire spells, your Metamorphosis and your Felsteed / Dreadsteed mounts green.

The Tome is a low drop chance from rare spawns on the Isle of Thunder.

It can be traded and auctioned.

@ttbloodlusttt How is this unfair to Warlocks? They get their own class specific quest line in order to obtain a way to change some of their skill appearances. Low drop or not, this is more than generous, and this way, they get to earn it. Also, I know someone with two 90 Locks (don't ask) that loves that it is BoE. That way, he can give it to his other character in case he gets it twice on the same one. And it is available to every Warlock. Shame that every Lock has to actually try though right? :P

Wrong drdragon2. This is statistics; infinite statistics to be specific. A 1/25 or 4% drop rate does not mean the event is guarenteed to occur after 25 events. It means each time the event (killing the boss) is completed, there is a 4% chance for the secondary event (binding drop) to occur. In fact, it works out that you do not add chances to drop. You multiple the chance that it DIDN'T drop. That is 96% for those keeping track. 0.96^25 = .36 or 36% chance of not dropping after 25 weeks.

530858+2via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

That said, the chance of not dropping occurring after 324 weeks is 0.0000018, AKA 0.00018%. Its low, but the bindings don't seem to be a 4% drop from what I've seen...meaning this would be MUCH different depending on which binding he needs and the actual drop rate. Remember people - drop rates are rates, not guarentees! (BTW the warlock tome? common as hell. The drop rate is low because it counts non warlocks checking bodies. I've seen 7 in a 2? month period)

61395+2via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

I'm curious if the drop rate provided is filtered for Warlocks only or from all kills from any class. I'm exalted with the faction on the island from dailies and have 60+ elite kills and 100's of non-elite kills from quest and farming and never seen the book drop for my lock. The books are non-existent on my server's AH.

Would be nice if they just added class quests back into the game.

I did the old lock quests lines for my lock back in the day. Made it fun to do some really cool unique stuff. Class trainers water abilities down.

Since this a book, what are the chances of it being made by or with the help of an Inscriptionist?

"Determined or fortunate enough" to find one sure sounds like a rare drop to me. Most likely from mobs on the new Thunder Isle. Also, seems likely that it will be Soulbound, otherwise they would have added "rich" enough. :-)

Incognito-1via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

The term "fortunate" should be a good indication that like most things on WoW, money can buy anything. Also, there appears to be no binding what-so-ever on the item (yet) so get ready to pay a king's ransom in the first month or so after 5.2 hits.

Ghostcrawler posted that this item should be available now to begin testing the chain:
Yes, it's happening, and next PTR build you should be able to test it. Please use this thread for your feedback on the experience, and please expect there will be spoilers here. (Please do not use this thread to discuss other warlock or non-warlock related topics, including but not limited to, your pitch for a quest line for your class.) To begin the Black Harvest questline on the PTR, you can find an item that starts the quest as a drop on the "Green Flame Infernal." When 5.2 goes live, the item will be rarer but not stupidly rare. Known Issues: 1) At one point you will be asked to speak with a Warlock trainer. The quest is not hooked up to every possible trainer, so keep talking to trainers until you find one. 2) At a later point in the quest, there is a timed element. In the current build, you must finish the trial within the time frame given or be forced to redo it. In a future build, you will be able to proceed even if you fail the time check. This will make sense when you see it.
Lawkstarz+16via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

No.. thats confirmed it does NOT drop to non warlock classes. can only be traded/auctioned to other classes. Once a warlcok has one in posession they cannot loot another until it it xferreed via mail/AH/traded then another one can be looted.

1073423-12via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

I hope this shows up in the black market due to I am really hated by this one group of goons in my realm called warriorselite they think they rule the realm but they are just a pack of idoits that do anything to get in my way.

Elvador+451via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

The rare mobs on the Isle of Thunder are dropping these at a low drop rate.

The item is only lootable by warlocks. You can see the item in the rare mob if it drops - but you won't meet the requirements to loot it as a non-warlock.

Can the Tome be looted if you already completed the quest? [small][s]This is a tricky one. For what I can say: I have looted it after I had already completed the quest. But I also contacted a GameMaster who explained, that it shouldn't be possible. When I looted it the second time, I had another Warlock in my group and also another Warlock attacked the Rare. Maybe one of this was the reason of the issue.[/s][/small] Yes. I've looted it multiple times, even after I completed the quest.
