I have this staff for my 34 warlock, and i actually like it, i'm spec'd demonology but i find that if i equip my firestone, have VW attack a mob, toss my dots on, then if i dot a second mob and just whack at him with the staff, i actually over DPS my Voidwalker, and saves alot on mana cause i'm not casting anything but two immolates and curses of agony.

Are you kidding me? You said "casters rely on wand to damage monsters" Ahh you made me laugh so hard. I realize casters do a fair amount of wanding, but if all you do is use wands.. uhh well try a different class. They use their CLASS SPELLS.

I used this for a few levels on my MS warrior while fighting mobs north of Tarren Mill. The only reason I decided to use it was because I thought fighting pvp as a warrior with a staff was hilarious. I think all warriors should use staves.

this staff will last you shamans until 42 if you can get the vexxing cane from zf. might as well enchant it, you will have it 9 levels at least. you might want to pick up the SM staff for stats if you have to heal, though.

I tried this out on my shaman with Windfury and the proc can be devastating on mobs, on occasion the Staff proc will occur on the initial hit and off the winfury attacks too resulting in uberdamage! Definitely worth checking out for those of you who like your staves but prefer to hit things with them :)

These are in the AH for 160 g on my server, so no matter how tempting it is to equip it, I'm going to get an Illusionary Rod, and go a few rounds of trying to sell it first.

EDIT: Sold for 155g 80s. Screen shot.

This procs from druids forms, and with 1.0 attack speed (cat form) it can proc often. Not sure how it competes against +40 AP (Loksey's Training Stick) I would daresay that Manual Crowd Pummeler, however, is more powerful than both of those weapons (stick and this, ofcourse) .... all I can say, use what you feel the best to hang around with. :)

I was amazed at just how hard this staff hits...then I got my first crit and a 120 shadow zap...:D I am a committed balance druid looking forward to 40 and my Doomkin...I like the cat and never did play Bear well. With this staff I melee'd all day and had a BLAST...literally. I also threw the "Crusader" enchantment at it: "Permanently enchant a melee weapon to often heal for 75 to 125 and increase Strength by 100 for 15 sec. when attacking in melee. Has a reduced effect for players above level 60." Rename mine as The Perpetual-Motion Destruction Machine.

This dropped for me off a Warpwood Treant in Diremaul Warpwood Quarter after a single run. This item can drop off any mob in the dungeon or similar level zones at random chance. Your best way to farm blues or this item is to hunt down chests in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor as they give a blue reliably. Also, the final bosses of Molten Core and Blackwing Lair drop 2 blues each time they're up (once a week, resetting on Tuesdays)
