It would be a massive waste of resources to use Riddle of Steel instead of Transmute: Living Steel (which it looks like you're doing, based on the mats you listed). The latter requires 6 Trillium Bars and no Spirit of Harmony. So Bloodmoon would take 180 Mote of Harmony and 108 Trillium Bars (216 White/Black Trillium Ore). In addition, the smelting time is increased to 612 seconds. You save 540 Mote of Harmony (or 34 days on Sunsong Ranch).

Just a warning to anyone else thinking this is a decent alternative to an LFR weapon, it is NOT eligible for an extra socket via eye of the black prince. Biggest waste of 30 daily cds ever. I put in a ticket I hope they make it eligible but as of now, SOL.

In the 5.3 patch notes, it will be eligable soon - this was an oversight! Don't give up yet!!

It's pretty funny how bad these new weapons are. Not sure what kind of person has the time to grab all this stuff, do 30 days of cooldowns, after doing all the dailies, to make a weapon that's almost worse than LFR gear; but they can't find the time for an LFR every week.

B/c some people have done LFR every week and can't get a weapon to drop, even with the bonus rolls...

I did do the 30 days of CDs, had plenty of living steel from my lock with some nice procs from Transmutation Master and I just sold the axe for 35,000g, (Nordrassil EU server) so someone must have wanted it badly, even for transmog! I was going to keep it for my own DK but as it's an alt, thought what the heck, let some fool with more money than sense buy it on the AH! There are better things to be had. ACtually didn't find the grind on this as annoying as getting the stuff together for Vial Of The Sands :/

Just paid 30k for this myself... before I realized my conquest sword is almost as good. Oh well, I guess I'm one of those people with too much extra gold ;-)

Great tanking weapon for blood dk. Especially if it's an alt and your raid shy with that alt ;) If you are raiding with your blood dk, then you might want to hold out for a 502 lfr weapon. However, I tank every week on my pali and still waiting for a weapon upgrade to drop in ToT, so making this for my alt dk isn't at all a hard decision. I was tempted to make my pali the [url=item=94579]"Wicked Edge of the Planes, Reborn"[/url], but most 502's that drop in lfr tot have socket and socket bonus which makes them more appealing for him, so again, this is great for my situation for my alt dk, but not my raiding pali. Hope that helps others make a wise decision.

From the 5.3 Patch Notes Update from 05/14/13: Eye of the Black Prince can now be used to apply a prismatic socket on Reborn weapons.

If you don't want to farm 216 x [item=72094] and 216 x [item=72103] (432 total) and want to go strictly with mining [item=72092] and then [spell=114783], it would take 2,160 x [item=72092] to make all the [item=72104]. For a grand total of 2,760 [item=72092] to make this item.

The Season 14 PVP weapons which can be acquired with Honor are a much more viable set of weapons. I'm very sad to say it, I had this axe on my warrior... Aiming at that Grevious Axe now... >.< Oh well... If your not a PVPer, you can still grind the Grevious set, gear, and weapons out faster then you can grind out this axe, It takes around 20-30k Honor for all of the PVP gear needed to gear out one character, So if you dont want to do battlegrounds, you can still dungeon grind and farm out the gear, you'll get your weapon halfway through and it'll cost you a measly (and I say this because dungeons are a joke now, most people are so geared there are no tanks) 40-60k Justice points converted either in Orgrimmar/Stormwind/Temple of Nizuo(Sp?) I'm doing this grind on several of my characters and I'm almost done with it on two of them. No where near as bad as 30 days of grinding BS/Alchemy to get this axe... /wrist
