This is a great weapon for the level, particularly because it is simply sold by a Consortium vendor at Stormspire in Netherstorm. It's limited supply, but not very well known, so it seems to be in stock often. I'm (sadly) still using this at 70 - I haven't had the luck for anything better to drop in instances.

It should be noted that the Nexus-Claw(http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29371) and it's sister weapon, the Void-Talon(http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29372) look exactly like Thekal/Arlokk's Grasp, the epic fist weapon set from Zul'Gurub(http://www.wowhead.com/?itemset=463)

Due to ease of obtainment, its slow speed and large damage range, this is arguably the best Enhancement Shaman Mainhand weapon you can get until level 70. The Resonating Axe is marginally better stats wise, but only for people allied with Aldor http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=10313

This weapon combined with the Mag'hari Fury Brand in the offhand is an incredible combo for double windfury, especially since both can be easily obtained. Although there are several greens post 66 with higher dps, due to its speed the damage range on this weapon will not be passed until 69, making this a great purchase for the enhancement shaman leveling from 66-70.

i just got this and was combat/sword specced before, got tired of the low crit and respecced, was happily surprised too see how good these really are, very high crits and the looks are very cool. recommended until something better drops.

Yes, but he probably picked them up before 2.3, when Whirlwind didn't hit with both weapons, and the rule was generally believed to be "slow main hand, fast off hand," presumably for steadier rage generation.

Considering availability of other rare weapons given the new dungeon system, with dungeons being run much more often, dungeon rares are much more easily attainable than they were previously, and potential for heirlooms, I found these weapons to be near obsolete--however I still bought both of them for their cool looking skins ^^

Along with many other fist weapons in the game, such as Fist of Deity, this will become one-hand in MoP, and will finally be usable in either hand (and transmog to either hand). This is very exciting, especially for those of you who felt the clolor/shine difference sister-weapon for this item, Void-Talon made them not match enough.
