This mace as the same DPS and dmg range as the trash blade.

Probably the very best thing you can get for a DW enhancement shaman twink in the 40-49 bracket. Hammer of the Northern Wind is higher DPS, but much faster speed and lower topend, so it's a waste. Get this if you've got a shammy coming up and you like to smash faces.

Ribsplitter of Strength or of the Bear is actually better if you're looking for the "very best". Ribsplitter of Strength has the 10 Ap Base and 11 Strength. Ribsplitter of the Bear has the 10 Ap Base, 7 Strength, and 7 Stamina.

Don't forget of the Tiger or Monkey for that sweet Agi goodness.

Actually of the Tiger is better than of the Strength. Of the Strength has 32ap in total Of the Tiger has 31ap in total + the crit and armor bonus of the 7ag.

Due to Shaman stat changes, Ribsplitter of the Bear is no longer the "very best".. STR only gives 1 AP per point to Shamans now. Thus, the best is now Ribsplitter of the Monkey.

I have this weapon on my level 49 Shaman, have not been outdps'ed in a single BG since entering as a twinked 49 Shaman.(Yes, that includes dot-tab Affliction Warlocks) WTB Ribsplitter of the Bear. ~Shamanistics-Azjol-Nerub (US)

What do you use for your off hand?

My lvl 49 Shaman also has this, and while it isn't as good as Ribsplitter of the bear, It is still a very good weapon for your shaman if you are unable to obtain ribslitter (There wasn't any on sale when i bought bonesnapper). Easily worth the gold you spend on it.

Hmmmm, I'm actually thinking about getting this for a 49 fury warrior twink for better bloodthirst dmg. The top end is almost on par if not better than Bloodrazor, so instant attacks won't suffer. Also MUCH cheaper.

Bloodthirst doesn't gain anything from weapon damage. It's damage is exactly half of your attack power, effected by your target's armour of course.

The weapon (like many others) is now One-Handed, meaning due to it's non-uniqueness, it can be wielded in both hands. Seems like a very good alternative to Ribsplitter (also One-Handed now), and Smashing Star of Bear.

I have 2 of these on my level 49 enhancement shammy twink with 20 agi and 20 strength, i must say they work wonders especially against caster twinks/nontwinks ;) shamans are seriously overpowered in the 40-49 bracket.

This item has gone way down in value for Enhancement shamans since strength is somewhat less useful now. It's still a decent weapon if you can get one cheap but it's not near as overpowered as it used to be.
