It's a pretty nice sword for the level. It's hard to make, however. It looks awesome as well, IMHO.

No. "Chance on hit" effects are always based on a hit with the actual weapon itself.

This is one oldcore weapon, in the earliest days of WoW there even was a description on the WoW site on how to craft a Frost Tiger Blade as a manual to introduce people to the "trade skill" concept!

Might sound retarded, but to me this looks like a nice hunter pvp wep. 14 crit rating is awesome, and the chance on hit is cool., and the wep looks nice too. Too bad it costs muuch to make one.

yes it is an excellent hunter weapon especially now with the rating system implemeneted, low lvles get more than 1 % crit. i remember back in the day pre BC dual wielding (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=12774) which was one of best combos pre raiding

Would the proc of an icy weapon enchant stack on an enemy with the chance on hit proc of this sword?

*Edit: Different debuffs, so they can proc at the same time, but I'm still not sure if the [s]attack[/s] [b]movement[/b] speed penalties will stack if they do.

This weapon's proc does not slow the enemy's attack speed like Icy Chill does. As for the movement speed reduction, I do not know if they stack.

Assuming that it can be enchanted with savagery it is the best 2 Handed (second is Jordan Staff) hunter melee weapon in game for levels 35 - 39.

For the level, this is a good sword but there are a few major problems with it: 1. Not many have the recipe. Even if you know someone who has it or you have the recipe yourself... 2. Frost Oil. The recipe for the oil itself is a limited supply from a Gnome in a remote location. Making it requires Khadgar's Whisker and Wintersbite which is an obscure herb used in only a few recipes. If you happen to find Frost Oil in the AH, it's usually at a very high price. Because of the rarity of the Frost Oil, not many bother to make and sell this sword. If you want it, your best bet is to gather the Frost Oil and commission a Blacksmith to make the sword for you.

I might see if I can find a market for these legendary and nostalgic weapons. I don't remember where I found the plans, but I can make them and just went to the effort to get a stack of frost oil.

And I think Patch 4.3 will bring a market back for these.

I know I'll be making one up. Best Realistic Looking Blade in the whole game, IMO. Seems the designers seemed to trend to the idea that the more metal you put on a weapon, with glowing orbs and clunky curves and physically impossible to weild looks, the better. THIS blade, now THIS is a sexy weapon...

It would be nice to see a return to such weapons in MoP but sadly I dont think that will happen.

A couple of these should look nice on the back of a Fury spec'd warrior. Ahhhh, cant wait til 4.3.

Very cool katanas for transmogging. However, in 6.1 they have a size-changing problem. They'll be normal-sized while being held but when sheathed they shrink to 3/4-2/3 of their normal size.

This blade enchanted by frost oil. Jade components may be associated with Pandaria, name associated with Xuen.
