Formula: Enchant Bracer - Mighty Intellect

For some reason, this +50 bracer enchant is significantly more rare than either the "agility" or "major strength" versions. Its drop rate appears to be approximately half of the other two, based on the number of mobs in the "dropped by" table. I have seen this on my server firsthand, because the other two formulae are almost always on the AH, and I have only seen this one once. It sells for about three times the cost of the others on my server.

I just got this off the Auction House for 400g. I just hope whoever put it there never finds this thread; I don't need the first recorded WoW-related suicide on my conscience. The formulas for the physical dps equivalents of this enchantment, namely [item=68787] (+50 agility to bracers) and [item=68788] (+50 strength to bracers), consistently go for at least 6k or 7k gold on my server, and there are always at least one of each in the AH. Judging by the above comments, the recorded drop rate, and the fact that I had never seen one before, this formula appears to be significantly more rare than those two are. I hung on to it for a little bit while I went through the agonizing process of deciding whether to sell it or use it, during which time I was offered varying amounts ranging from 8k to 11k gold. In the end I learned it myself because I figured the gold was easier to get than an extremely rare world-drop formula; plus I happen to have a mage and a holy pally, for whom this is arguably the best bracer enchantment currently in the game. Just picked it up on Cenarion Circle AH for 60g... After having the only one that I've seen drop stolen in a random dungeon by a non-tailor over a month ago, I have been watching for a month for one to show on the AH and cant believe I got lucky enough to find such a steal! :)

I was able to sell this for 12.5k on AH... Its a great drop and able to be used by LOTS of specs and classes. Random Drop while doing TB dailies.

I can understand the "my formula dropped for me on this date at this time off this mob" comments being downrated -- It's true that those comments won't actually help anyone find it -- they are however commentary, which is basically what forums and wowhead comments are for. But why on earth are the other comments downrated? The ones that tell how much someone sold it for will help people who had it drop with none in the auction house to base their price on. The ones that explain the droprate being roughly half of the droprates of the agility and strength enchants are merely commentary, they're not wrong, they're not derogatory. Seriously, you should understand why you are downrating a comment before you do it.

Anything to do with how much it was sold and/or bought for is useless information. Every realm is different and even different between factions. Price is also subject to availability (supply and demand) which will be different per realm because of population differences and just sheer luck of drops. The price will also go down over time, so yes, I downrank (and vote to delete) comments having to do with buying or selling.

I question that, Boobah, my enchanter can't buy it in Stormwind, THE major Alliance city imho. Lvl 75, enchanting 510

At the moment, your best bet for one of these rare BoE world drop recipes if not willing to buy from AH is to find the rare world boss mobs like Mobus, Akma'hat, and Julak-Doom. With patch 4.1, they will always drop a BoE recipe (though I've seen green gem recipes drop too). I got the Agi wrist enchant off of Mobus. Pick up a rare mob add-on like NPCScan, and keep an eye out for them while doing your normal routine gathering or questing. Bring guildies to those fights! [Have Group, Will Travel] is excellent here.

Unfortunately you can no longer use Have Group Will Travel, as it has been removed with the last patch. Call friends in to help, but you'll have to plan another way to meet up.

I just got it from a crocolisk in Tol barad, i guess im pretty lucky.

Just got one of these from a tiny treasure chest dropped while under potion of treasure finding, I had been using the potion while farming for leather but after a few potions dropping only one or two chests and costing 70 gold i was not gonna bother with them again, then saw one for 40 gold and thought id give it one more go, about 20 chests dropped in an hour farming spiders in tol barad, 600 gold worth of volatiles and cloth plus this enchant, very glad i bought that potion :)

I looted this recipe from tiny treasure chest off rustberg bandit, in Tol Barad as well.

I got this yesterday on Andorhal off of a rare spawn in vash! [npc=50052]

Have had 2 of these drop for me the past week or so in Tol Barad and Tol Barad Peninsula . One from an Accursed Longshoreman and the other from a Baradin Crocolisk.

Got mine from Commader Largo in Tol Barad Peninsula. Weird thing is as i was killing the spiders i thought to myself 'surely at 0.01% drop chance, one of those rare formulas should drop at some point soon -.-

I got mine from Fiery Behemoth :D

Just to state that you don't have to be an enchanter for this to drop, I got this whilst killing Elementals in Hyjal for my Jewelcrafting daily. Ironically, I've never had any of the JC patterns drop for me.

Found this during an hour run farm of Stone Trogg's in deepholm, was surprised to find it on one of these mobs as i have never heard it drop form them, and also isn't in the dropped by tab on here.

World drops can drop from any level-appropriate mob. What's reported here is data collected from people running the Wowhead addon - if somebody looted it but didn't run the addon, it wouldn't show up here. Similarly, the first ever person to loot something from a specific mob won't see it in the dropped by tab either.

Just had this drop for my Level 100 BS/miner paladin. I note that the Intellect increase on my formula reads 50, though, not 14 as currently shown in the Wowhead text for the item.
