As of tonight (23 Dec 2011) the spiderlings are still spawning below ground where you cannot see them. This is not only a bug, but it keeps you from eating, healing or bandaging. Every time I get this quest, I know I'm going to eat 2-3 deaths in the Widow's Clutch area, as I just did tonight. This doesn't include the spiderings that spawn when you gather the eggs, this is random deaths from these things you cannot see and have no defense against. Sure wish Blizzard would get off the dime and fix this.
This quest seems to be quite a bit more annoying in the last week or so, as the spiders that have a chance to spawn do damage now as well as slowing you. As a mage I had to eat everytime that happened as each little spider can crit you for 5k, and there seem to be about 10 to 15 of them.

Description
We have a real problem on our hands. Not only are the nearby spiders vicious and predatory, their numbers appear to be endless. We need to stop the growth of their army. Cut their heads off in the egg, not on the battlefield. The Cinderweb Spinners' eggs are laid among the stone pillars to the north. Collect 20 eggs and bring them back to me.
