On most realms Lava Cores and Fiery Cores are between 1 and 20 gold a piece. Guildless and non human grants 2000 rep, guild perk or human grants 2200, and human with guild perk grants 2400 rep per turn in.
The quest actually gives 2,000 reputation on turn-in (same for the lava cores), so buy accordingly!
