Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Scroll of Versatility II cost 9 gold1 silver. Most of that is Midnight Ink - 1 at 9 gold each, 9 gold, 99.9% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 9 gold48 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 9 gold46 silver, which does not clear it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 45 silver; the Auction House would keep 47 silver30 copper of a sale, leaving −2 silver30 copper. That is an estimated -0.3% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 105.1% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 240 units across 9 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
