Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 1 reagent for one craft of Midnight Ink cost 5 gold86 silver.
Break-even is 6 gold16 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 6 gold13 silver, which does not clear it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 27 silver; the Auction House would keep 30 silver65 copper of a sale, leaving −3 silver65 copper. That is an estimated -0.6% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 113.5% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 10,028 units across 60 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
