Farmer's Delight

There are a total of 10 chests in the room that contain the recipes, which means four chests will not have a recipe. Do yourself a favor and make sure you go down with 10 Goa Lai keys (left as you enter). The keys are fairly easy to farm, I managed to get 10 within about 40 minutes. When you get to the room you will need to deactivate the "secret" wall to access 4 of the chests. Happy cooking all :-)

As of today (16 Sept 2013), the visibility for these recipes seems to be bugged. I ground Vale of Eternal Blossoms mobs and opened six Ancient Guo-Lai Caches with my main, who's maxed in the Ways and has 600 Cooking skill with, oif course, Zen Master. Nothing.

After reading some of the comments on other pages, I brought an alt up to 525 Cooking skill, but did not take Zen Master Cooking. She fought mobs and got no recipes from them, but in the first Ancient Guo-Lai Cache she opened, this recipe popped up.

Bug report submitted, and I presume Blizzard will fix this in a patch. For the time being, though, go do something else.

EDIT: The 9/16 hotfix seems to have fixed the visibility for experienced chefs. However, I noted another situation: That Farmer's Delight that my alt got may be keeping my main from getting it.

I farmed six keys and expected to get all six recipes. The first five chests had the other recipes, and the sixth... no recipes, just the usual loot.

Those who know probability will see that this is unlikely, but not impossible; but if the next two chests don't have Farmer's Delight, I'll destroy it on the alt and see if that lets me loot it on my main. Will append results here.

EDIT: Gang, it looks like I messed things up. As stated above, while researching the "recipe visibility" bug, I got one of my alts up to 525 Cooking and she found this recipe; after the 9/16 patch, my main started finding them, but not Farmer's Delight. After finding five of the six straight in Caches, not finding the sixth with subsequent cache keys was suspicious.

So I got rid of the recipe on my alt, and opened four more Caches-- still nothing. Now I'm worried that my main may never get the Farmer's Delight recipe.

I'm sure that no more than a dozen people are in my situation, but if you are, learn the recipe on the character you found it with and don't try to get all your recipes on one character.

Perhaps they already fixed it, but within the last half hour i successfully looted such a reciepe and learned it.
