World of Warcraft: Forever is the new vanilla-era World of Warcraft that Blizzard revealed at BlizzCon 2026 on September 12: a third permanent WoW home set in a reimagined original Azeroth. It launches globally on November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST, access is included with a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time, and the beta runs September 17 to October 21, 2026.
What Is WoW Forever?
A third permanent World of Warcraft home, set in a reimagined original Azeroth. The story is set after the events of Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core. Players return to the original continents and adventure to level 60.
What Blizzard showed at BlizzCon 2026
- Nine new dungeons and two raids: Hyjal Summit (20-player) and the Barrow Deeps

A free opt-in on Blizzard's Forever page is a chance at access; the Skyborne Epic Pack and the Warcraft Forever Collection guarantee it. The Skyborne Heroic Pack does not include beta access.

Blizzard is not coasting on Classic. Four separate Classic clients pushed new builds across late July and early August.

The retail cosmetics the theory is built on Community theory
These are the real, unreleased cosmetics people are tying to a "Camelot" edition bonus. We can pull them cleanly, so here is the actual loot, exactly as it sits in the files: a full Skyborne leather transmog ensemble, the Entwined Haranir wild-elf armor set, its weapons and profession tools, alchemy phials, and a room of Haranir housing decor.
Every icon here is the real in-game art from our own extraction. These are retail assets from the Midnight-era wild-elf content. The theory is that they are edition-bonus cosmetics for the Camelot product: real assets, unproven link. The cat and bear mounts being quoted sit in sections we cannot decrypt, so they are not on this page.
A brand-new "Classic [boss] Mask" cosmetic line Pure hopium
Twenty-plus new masks appeared in build 69273 on August 11: Classic Witch, Tol'vir, Abomination, Sha, and Treant, each in several colours. The art team is freshly modeling classic-era enemies for a retail cosmetic set.
Almost certainly a Hallow's End set. It is here because it is exactly what the cope brain lights up on, and now you know what it actually is. The art is new enough that we have no extracted icon for it yet, so the row carries no image of its own.
The debunk we owe you: Haranir is NOT Classic Ambiguous
The new playable race a lot of people are tying to Classic+, Haranir, is retail Midnight content in our data. The armor and housing above are themed to it. That is a retail expansion race, not a Classic one.
One honest debunk per page. That is what separates a datamine desk from a rumor mill.

Blizzard promised Classic-future news at BlizzCon 2026, and delivered Datamined fact
On the January 29 State of Azeroth stream, Blizzard said clarity on Classic's future comes "after the release of The Black Temple, at BlizzCon 2026." On September 12 at BlizzCon, Blizzard revealed World of Warcraft: Forever, launching November 4, 2026.
Promise kept.
"World of Warcraft Camelot" Heroic and Epic licenses datamined Datamined fact
On June 16, dataminer Stiven found Heroic and Epic license entries for a product literally named World of Warcraft Camelot, the same two-tier purchase structure Blizzard uses for real launches. The codename ties to the Classic 1.60 branch.
The name proved a product. Forever's upgrades now come in the same two tiers: the Skyborne Heroic Pack and the Skyborne Epic Pack.
An encrypted classic_alpha 1.60 branch, alive since October 2025 Datamined fact
Community trackers logged roughly 29 encrypted builds on an internal Classic branch at patch 1.60 by mid-2026, starting in October 2025. Vanilla's last real patch was 1.12. A 1.60 was never maintenance. A 1.60.1 Classic Beta build (69876) has since appeared in our datamine.
The builds were real. While they stayed encrypted, every feature list attributed to them was unverified by definition.
Season of Discovery wound down so the team could "cook" a successor Strong signal
Blizzard ended major SoD updates, saying the team wants to "cook, iterate on, and shape our ideas" into "something truly exciting" with "big plans and big ambitions" for content "set in the original world of Azeroth." An official statement that a successor existed, unnamed at the time.
Staffing and org signals Strong signal
Reportedly: designer Josh "Aggrend" Greenfield moved to "long-term vision for content and narrative on the Classic team," and a Content Designer role for WoW Classic was posted in June (the listing since closed).
The circumstantial pile Community theory
A leaked "hypothetical new version of WoW Classic" player survey (new zones, cross-faction classes). An NDA creator summit at Blizzard HQ in May. Turtle WoW and Stormforge, the biggest fan-made Classic+ servers, legally shut down in spring. The 2026 roadmap simply stops after MoP with no Wrath progression announced.
Real events, unprovable motives.
The imageboard leaks Pure hopium
An anonymous post described "Infinite Classic+": seasonal resets, a Diablo-style battle pass on top of the sub, and a new mail-wearing Spellblade class. A separate compilation claims an October 13 launch. Neither has a primary source, and the leak documents do not agree with each other.
How the proof arrived
The gap between copium and confirmation closed at BlizzCon 2026. Here is how it landed.
- Blizzard said it out loud. On September 12, 2026 at BlizzCon, Blizzard revealed World of Warcraft: Forever, launching November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST.
- The licenses became products. The datamined Heroic and Epic tiers are now real upgrades on the Battle.net Shop: the Skyborne Heroic Pack and the Skyborne Epic Pack.
- A beta client appeared. A 1.60.1 Classic Beta build (69876) is in our datamine, and the Forever beta runs September 17 to October 21, 2026.
What never counted: encrypted retail promo cosmetics (those are retail), private-server lawsuits, job listings, or any feature list pulled from builds nobody could decrypt. The build was real. The licenses were real. The promise was real, and on September 12 Blizzard kept it.

Was the Infinite Classic leak right?
Not on its headline date. The leak claimed October 13, 2026; Blizzard set November 4, 2026. Its other specifics, a Spellblade class, a battle pass and Quel'Thalas and Ulm zones, did not appear in Blizzard's BlizzCon 2026 Forever announcements.
