Nivrax's reply has inspired me to do more testing regarding how much damage Feline Grace was reducing. Each Test # was done in different locations, I've decided to leave out the exact description and direction I was facing when falling for each test to avoid making this post too long. Feral form when mentioned refers to feral cat form.

Level 70 Tauren Druid
12310 Total Health

Test #1:
Normal Tauren Form:
1761 (14.31% of Total Health), 1633 (13.27%), 1723 (13.99%)
Average 1705.7 (13.86%)

Feral Form:
0 (0% of Total Health)
Reduction: At least 13.86%

Test #2:
Normal Tauren Form:
3149 (25.58% of Total Health), 3199 (25.99%), 3157 (25.65%)
Average 3168.3 (25.74%)

Feral Form:
0 (0% of Total Health)
Reduction: At least 25.74%

Test #3:
Normal Tauren Form:
3971 (32.26% of Total Health), 4016 (32.62%), 4017 (32.62%)
Average 4001.3 (32.50%)

Feral Form:
315 (02.56% of Total Health), 369 (03.00%), 346 (02.81%)
Average 343.3 (02.79%)
Reduction: 32.50% - 02.79% = 29.71%

Test #4:
Normal Tauren Form:
6326 (51.39% of Total Health), 6335 (51.46%), 6353 (51.61%)
Average 6338.0 (51.49%)

Feral Form:
2751 (22.35% of Total Health), 2716 (22.06%), 2866 (23.28%)
Average 2777.7 (22.56%)
Reduction: 51.49% - 22.56% = 28.93%

Test #5:
Normal Tauren Form:
6839 (55.56% of Total Health), 6957 (56.52%), 6768 (54.98%)
Average 6854.7 (55.68%)

Feral Form:
3079 (25.01% of Total Health), 3133 (25.45%), 3043 (24.72%)
Average 3085.0 (25.06%)
Reduction: 55.68% - 25.06% = 30.62%

Conclusion
In the first two tests (#1, #2) no damage was taken when in feral form. In the last three tests (#3, #4, #5), we came up with the damage being reduced by 29.71%, 28.93%, 30.62%.

If we average these three, we get 29.75% reduced health damage. To be clear, this does not mean falling damage is reduced by 29.75% percent, but rather falling damage is reduced by 29.75% of your current max health. Thus, of course, if the falling damage was suppose to be less than 29.75% of your current max health, you'll receive no damage in feral form.

Thus, we can conclude from these tests, Feline Grace reduces falling damage by around 30% of your current max health.

Fall damage chops off a percentage of your total health, not a fixed amount of health based on the fall distance, so having more HP will result in the same percentage of health taken away regardless of how beefy you are. Besides, which do you think is gonna leave a bigger crater, a cat or bear?

However, if you should 'accidentally' 'fall' off a high cliff while you are riding your kodo, you can, in mid-air, transform into cat form and still take reduced damage from the fall. Just be fast on the button, because if you hit the ground before you turn, it still stings!

Actually, because the damage taken is a percentage of your max health, being in bear form or normal form is irrelevent. You lose 4000 in bear form, but when you shift back to normal form, the amount lost is still percentile to your health in your current form, not the form you were in at the time you hit the ground. In other words, you lose 4000 health (1/5 of max health in bear form) in bear form, shift back to normal form and you don't have 4000 HP missing anymore. But instead, you're missing 1/5 of your normal form's max HP, or (using your example of 7000 HP) 1400 HP. So save your heale

Cheetahs are hardly long distance runners though, they can't hold that sprint for much more than ten seconds. I'd rather Blizzard went with the form the icon seems to imply and made travel form a stag. Or even a doe for the female toons!

although the aura effect appears to be the same, a value of 17 whatever that means. empirical tests show this to not be as effective, although very close, as the rogue version safe fall. this is based on walking off a cliff to the lower portion in lbrs where druids will break stealth on damage but rogues will not.

Let's say you have 20.000 HP in Bear, 7.000 in normal form. You fall for 20% of your damage. Bears lose 4.000, normal people lose 1.400 HP. Little math wouldn't hurt you ;) Save your healers, fall in normal form instead of bear form.

I do not know how many, if any of you have ever tried this, but, up until last evening when the patch went live I could survive a leap, in cat form, from the edge of Thunder Bluff. I know this because when I first achieved Feline Grace, I lept off the edge near the cannon during Darkmoon Faire.
Actually i had bet with a player that I could jump and survive, and I did. Now I cannot.

Just for your info... for what it's worth.

Almost any damage taken in prowl or stealth is supposed to knock the rogue or druid out of stealth, and besides a bug from beta affecting rogue stealth (dunno about druid), falling damage is capable of doing so. Therefore -it has surprised me that no one has mentioned this yet, perhaps it is just common sense- the primary function/reason for having this ability is not just to mitigate fall damage, but to mitigate fall damage to avoid prowl (or stealth with the rogue equivalent) from breaking if you happen to fall while stalking an npc or a character.

Avoiding death from fall damage is merely a bonus ;).
