Actually, I found that once your cooking is at 300, just purchasing the recipe for Ravager Dog (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=27688) from a vendor inside Thrallmar and leveling your cooking accordingly with such was far more efficient and way faster than grinding the Desert Dumplings. In my experiences, the Ravager Flesh has a MUCH higher drop rate and I also find the Ravagers easier to kill/farm. The Ravager Dog has a pretty comparable well fed buff for most classes to that of the Dumplings anyway.
