Effectively worthless in Midnight, 5 skill points will save you ~1 point of concentration on crafts that require it. A full set of blue quality profession tools is worth 40 skill and saves 11 concentration. This racial isn't enough to enable you to mill r1 herbs into r2 pigments without spending conc. With 90 KP put into milling, this racial reduces the conc cost of milling r1 herbs into r2 pigment down from 150 to 149.
I can think of no meaningful benefit this racial provides. I feel like it needs a ingenuity bonus added to it so it at least does something.
