TheWoWDBThis was going to be resist all forms of magical damage, much like the early Burning crusade Blood elf racial, but it seems blizzard remembered having to nerf this racial once before, and instead replaced it with arcane resistance only, which is rather unfortunate, as arcane resistance was already something both blood elves and gnomes had.
Ah well.
