Black Qiraji Battle Tank

Trivia: If a player was logged out while mounted on this mount when patch 2.2 was deployed, upon logging in after the patch, the mount "buff" was replaced by a buff that transformed the player into a flying wasp. This was a one time occurance, however, as there is no evidence the flying wasp buff is reobtainable by any other means. However, a buff like it is availible from Underbelly Elixer

Please note, this was a bug (no pun intended) and it was never intended to add additional rewards to the people that opened the gate so long ago.

Wait, if it was a one time mishap, how did that warrior be lvl 78 with the flying version active, if wotlk came after 2.2?

Good question.

Answer: i messed up the screenshot. Its still correct, but this bug was present (again? apparently so.. ) during WotLK beta, it caused an uproar of people crying for unfair treatment and in my mind rightly so.
This bug was taken out of beta after people mentioned it (QQ-ed/complained) on the forums and blizzard was made aware of it once again, they reassured people that it was a bug, the beta forums are down, but the post was there.
I should have posted a screenshot from the 2.2 bug, but as you will find when looking for one, they are hard to come by.

I hope this clears things up.

Is it possible to know how many players have this mount?
And it would be interesting to know how many of them still playing...
