The craftable blacksmithing weapons are generally superior to anything you can get at the equivalent level. Tier 1 craftable blacksmith weapons (only requires world farming) > anything not in raids/heroics Tier 2 craftable blacksmith weapons (requires primal nethers) > anything not in SSC/TK/BT/Hyjal Tier 3 craftable blacksmith weapons (requires Nether Vortex) > pretty much everything.
This is the 3rd version of the axe. need to make the two others to be able to craft this.
You just learn axe/mace/sword smith so you can craft both 1h and 2h axes/maces/swords
