Boots of Blasting

Boots of the Long Road http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30035 which have been a mystery together with Boots of Blasting for a long time now, have been discovered, so Blasting will probably pop up anytime soon :)

Indeed quite possibly high +crit, as you can get enchant similary named "Blasting" on gloves which gives +10 spellcrit (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=33993)

I just want to comment on the use of these boots as an affliction warlock.

I would argue that, for raiding, these boots are better than Frozen Shadoweave Boots. Keep in mind, that I'm talking about SSC/TK raiding. I'm an affliction specced warlock, currently raiding those 2 dungeons, and I've been using both the Boots of Blasting and Frozen Shadoweave Boots.

Let's breakdown the stats:

Boots of Blasting (enchanted with fortitude)
148 armor
37 stamina
25 intellect
18 hit
25 crit
39 dmg

Frozen Shadoweave Boots (fortitude, veiled noble topaz, glowing nightseye)
122 armor
33 stamina
9 intellect
7 hit
0 crit
67 shadowdmg

Difference (focus on Boots of Blasting)
+ 26 armor
+ 4 stamina
+ 16 intellect
+ 11 hit
+ 25 crit
- 28 shadowdmg

Now, I normally would follow spellhit > spelldmg > spellcrit. So, the Boots of Blasting does indeed take away 28 of your shadowdamage, but you gain 11 hit and a decent amount of crit (I also don't believe in completely ignoring crit - even as a diehard affliction lock). Eventhough you have maxed out your +hit on your dots (by placing a few talentpoints in Suppression) it is my experience that you should still work on maxing out hit for your shadowbolts, even if it means losing 28 shadowdamage.
