Shoulders of Lightning Reflexes

Please note these crafted shoulders are BoP and can only be worn by a Leatherworker. If you are interested in farming the mats for these, here is a quick note:

OVERVIEW

You will need to travel to:
Nagrand - for both Primal Air and Primal Water (the water can also be collected while in Black Temple)
Blade's Edge Mountains - for both Wind Scales and Heavy Knothide Leather
Shadowmoon Valley (Black Temple) and/or Tanaris (Caverns of Time: Battle for Mount Hyjal) - for Heart of Darkness

Things you will need:

Start with farming Wind Scales off of [npc=20749] in Blade's Edge Mountains.
While farming these you will also acquire Knothide Leather or Knothide Leather Scraps that are skinned from the same mobs. You can use both later to create some of the Heavy Knothide Leather you will need.

Once that is done you can do one of two things:

• 
  
• LONG WAY: Fly from Blade's Edge Mountains to Nagrand (Snack/drink time!).
• 
  
• LAZY WAY: Hearth, if yours is set to Shrine in Pandaland > port back to Shattrath City > short flight to Nagrand.

Once you arrive in Nagrand ( these mobs are only accessible with a flying mount), kill [npc=22310] for Mote of Air.
NOTE: there is a relatively small number of these mobs which are highly farmed and don't respawn that fast so be prepared for this.

While waiting for respawns, you can continue farming leather from beasts around the zone for your Heavy Knothide Leather OR begin farming for your Primal Water, in which case you can do 1 of 3 things:

2. Kill the [npc=22309] up on that same plateau (though the drop rate didn't seem that great for me)
3. 
   
4. Simply fish the "Pure Water" nodes all over Nagrand's rivers for the Mote of Water
5. 
   
6. Farm these off of the water Elementals in Black Temple.
7.

Once finished with this you can do 1 of 2 quick things to begin farming your Heart of Darkness from trash mobs:

1. 
   
2. Fly from Nagrand to [zone=3959], Shadowmoon Valley.
3. 
   
4. Hearth > take port to Dalaran > climb Violet Citadel stairs > take left-side portal to Caverns of Time, Tanaris, in which [zone=3606] is located.
