When 3.2 hits, this might become more interesting as Illumination is going to get nerfed majorly. For now, I'd go with +10 stats.
However, in the meantime check if you can work on your mana pool - I have 24k unbuffed at the moment and still sporting a ton of Naxx gear. Might want to consider a switch to pure int gemming, though you want to adjust it so you get the meta gem proc still.
The tooltip still says it gives 10mp5... it's a bug in the system...
