This trinket, equipped with 1x 24 stamina gems ( http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40008 ) and 1 x stamina/defence gem ( http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40089 ) to keep the socket bonus will net you 108 stamina which is second only to the 111 stamina trinket ( http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37220 )

You could slap 2 x 24 stamina gems in which would actually net you the same (111) stamina as the gossamer trinket, but 8 defence for 3 stamina seems a sensible compromise.

The use function and the stamina potions make this trinket ideal for the majority of tanking situations. It's a stamina and avoidance trinket in one!

Using the prismatic stamina cut on a blue slot is a bit of a waste, its better off going somewhere else for socket bonus' - still nice stamina without it
