TheWoWDBFound this to be the best for the 80 to 110 range for cooking. Killing Murlocs in Silverpine (along the lake) yielded a roughly 75% drop rate on clams. Much faster than killing bears for the Smoked Bear Meat.

I've found [npc=38300] and [npc=38301] the best mobs to kill to get the clams. With a drop chance around 80% and 83 hp each they're really easy to farm, and their spawn time is somewhere between 1-2 min I think.
