Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Boiled Clams cost 10 silver. Most of that is Clam Meat - 1 at 9 silver each, 9 silver, 90.0% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 10 silver53 copper - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 25 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 15 silver; the Auction House would keep 1 silver25 copper of a sale, leaving 13 silver75 copper. That is an estimated 137.5% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 8.3% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 831 units across 23 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
