Savage Leather

I was just on my hunter looking through my available skillup choices in my leatherworking list, and I have the ability to create Savage Leather from scraps at level 430. However, from the Leatherworking profession list, it states that this isn't learned until level 435. I wonder if the requirement was lowered in 4.3 or earlier? I have been on another character since the patch and did not notice this until today.

I'm sure many of you know that you can buy the scraps off the AH to skill up quite a few more levels without having to create armor requiring mats or leg armor. Watch the pricing though. This site is good resource to see the average pricing of these (or any other item).

It would be nice to find some decent farming spots for this leather!

Not sure why your comment was downrated, but to answer your 'question', Abyssal Depths, Shimmering Expanse, and Mt. Hyjal all proved to be good farming spots for this leather while I was leveling skinning on the Sen'jin-US server.
