Field Bandage: Dense Embersilk

Using Field Bandage: Dense Embersilk is a great way to get rid of all the heavy Embersilk bandages you made while levelling. However, it does not appear to count towards the Preparing for Disaster achievement. That may be a bug, though, will be opening a thread in the WoW bug forum later to check.

EDIT: Here's the post to the WoW bug forum: Bug Forum; still no response and frankly not expecting one. I also submitted a GM ticket, and got a form answer of no use.

It's also possible that doing so does count, but is not reflected in the achievement; this is an issue in the Breaking out of Tol Barad achievement, for example, so it may be an issue here as well. Don't think we'll find out until someone completes the achievement.

SECOND EDIT: Zhell on another page states that there is no hidden counter for this method, so it does not count towards Preparing for Disaster.

FINAL EDIT: As of 4.0.6 creating Dense Embersilk Bandages using Field Bandage does count towards Preparing for Disaster. However, previously crafted Dense from Field Bandage do not retroactively apply to the achievement.

As of 4.0.6, these now count towards Preparing for Disaster.

I think the reasoning behind this is to give people something to do with all of those Heavy Bandages once they start making Dense bandages instead of vendoring them. I will admit that I think having the heavy bandage go green at 505 is pretty crappy, as I've gone through 240 embersilk just getting to 523 and I figure it'll take me another 30 or 40 to hit 525 the way I have been going.
