Keep in mind though that the inflated stats on items in Cata will be scaled so it roughly matches the items that we made during our early level 70 days in WotLK.
The hugely inflated stats will definitely suggest that even the best of the best level 80 epics will be outmatched VERY quickly in cata. From the looks of it, the difference is already apparent from level 81.
Stat sizes might look impressive, the overall gain won't change very much though.
This will replace most casters' chest pieces. The upgrade from even an iLevel 245 epic is pretty nice. If this is the sort of robe that can be crafted for a level 81, imagine the dungeon drops. /drool
