Is it that much of a dps increase to justify a maelstrom crystal?

compare +65 haste to it first so that you're on the right tier of enchants, then realise that all top enchants use maelstrom crystals.

For me on my fire mage, the 2nd best bracer enchant is +65 crit. 50 intellect gives me a 60dps increase on that acording to rawr calculations. Now 60dps is alot for an enchant. When people start to min/max on gear it's like saying "oh i'll just use +15 stats cause the better one is only 5 more"

Added to which int is the strongest stat for caster dps to the point of it eclipsing all other stats including hit after around 15% you'd get more dps per 1 int than 1 hit

so the current enchants are:
+50 int
+65 crit
+65 haste
+30 sp

Intellect gives you; mana, crit & sp. So it's kind of a no brainer

I wish people would stop crying about how expensive this enchant is. As the expansion goes on the enchant mats will go down in price... it was the same thing with every expansion so far. If you want it that bad make an enchanter and buy 365 arena wands, almost 2 maelstrom crystals a week.

Its a world drop, I just got mine today when farming troggs in deephelp. And no it wasn't in a treasure chest.
