TheWoWDBYou don't have to run to Thrallmar to train, just go down to Lower City (lowest level of Shattrah) and there is a trainer and leatherworking trainer both together.

I strongly suggest that when your skinning hits 275, get a portal or summon to Shatterath and train Master level skinning. If you head into hellfire peninsula with 300 skinning, you will find it very difficult to skin mobs. By training it before hand and getting skillups from Azeroth mobs, I had over 350 skinning before I was level 58. I've never had a skinning attempt in outlands fail.
Minimum level is 40 now, not 50.
